Eddie’s Rey de la Birria delivers an exceptional dining experience, blending outstanding customer service with incredible food. Mr. Eddie himself works along side his staff and engages with each table. I asked him how he makes such incredible food and specifically how he makes his tortilla chips. Mr. Eddie sat down next to me and went on to explain that they make everything from scratch with locally sourced ingredients. Not only did he run to the kitchen to show me the tortillas he uses, he sent me home with some! Mr. Eddies commitment to customer service, his authenticity, and his generosity are second to none.
The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The birria is rich and flavorful. The consommé is perfect—savory, aromatic, and ideal for dipping. Every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity.
Eddie’s Rey de la Birria is a must-visit for birria lovers or anyone looking for a new restaurant to try in Rochester. Their dedication to both food and service makes this spot stand out. Well deserving...
Read moreEddie's Rey de la Birria is our favorite restaurant in town! We have been overwhelmed by the family atmosphere and the overall kindness and respect the staff provide. Our kid's refer to this lovely establishment as Eddie's house. You may ask yourself, why do they feel so comfortable here. Eddie and his team consistently go the extra mile to make us feel at home, from remembering our names(entire family of 5) to remembering our orders. Our service isn't always fast and it's not always perfect, but you know what, that's okay. Why? It's because you can truly see the passion the staff has for their job and the hardworking team effort to keep this place running smoothly. We bring everyone we can to give this place a try. If you have a big party, call ahead and be patient they will accommodate you, but you can't expect to come in on a Friday night and sit a table of 9.
All this being said, We have fell in love with this restaurant and hope you can too.
Thanks Eddie and team for always putting customers first!

Read moreSunday dinner with Mom plus some takeout for my wife. Cool enough for the patio but plenty of space insde, with privacy barriers here and there.
One big note- cilantro. Most of the dishes have it, and they aren't afraid to point that out, but look before you order if cilantro is an issue.
Automatic chips with salsa verde and salsa roja.. the verde had a little bite, the roja was mild but very fresh.
Waters came with sliced pineapple- will have to try the horchata another time.
Mom had the night's special (burrito and taco with chicken), I had the quesabirria taco dinner and my wife got the birria ramen.
Mom's meal was hefty and mild, with real chicken (mix of light and dark meat) and real flavors, not Tex-Mex.
Mine was hefty as well but a richer flavor- the consomme added depth without being a salt bomb. Next time I'd order a side salad.. a little lightness and crispness to add balance.
Servers were helpful without being pushy and gracious to an elder.
Lots of range in the menu without holding back on...
