Eddie’s Rey de la Birria delivers an exceptional dining experience, blending outstanding customer service with incredible food. Mr. Eddie himself works along side his staff and engages with each table. I asked him how he makes such incredible food and specifically how he makes his tortilla chips. Mr. Eddie sat down next to me and went on to explain that they make everything from scratch with locally sourced ingredients. Not only did he run to the kitchen to show me the tortillas he uses, he sent me home with some! Mr. Eddies commitment to customer service, his authenticity, and his generosity are second to none.

The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The birria is rich and flavorful. The consommé is perfect—savory, aromatic, and ideal for dipping. Every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity.

Eddie’s Rey de la Birria is a must-visit for birria lovers or anyone looking for a new restaurant to try in Rochester. Their dedication to both food and service makes this spot stand out. Well deserving...

Eddie's Rey de la Birria is our favorite restaurant in town! We have been overwhelmed by the family atmosphere and the overall kindness and respect the staff provide. Our kid's refer to this lovely establishment as Eddie's house. You may ask yourself, why do they feel so comfortable here. Eddie and his team consistently go the extra mile to make us feel at home, from remembering our names(entire family of 5) to remembering our orders. Our service isn't always fast and it's not always perfect, but you know what, that's okay. Why? It's because you can truly see the passion the staff has for their job and the hardworking team effort to keep this place running smoothly. We bring everyone we can to give this place a try. If you have a big party, call ahead and be patient they will accommodate you, but you can't expect to come in on a Friday night and sit a table of 9.

All this being said, We have fell in love with this restaurant and hope you can too.

Thanks Eddie and team for always putting customers first!

Zach, Katie,...

Sunday dinner with Mom plus some takeout for my wife. Cool enough for the patio but plenty of space insde, with privacy barriers here and there.

One big note- cilantro. Most of the dishes have it, and they aren't afraid to point that out, but look before you order if cilantro is an issue.

Automatic chips with salsa verde and salsa roja.. the verde had a little bite, the roja was mild but very fresh.

Waters came with sliced pineapple- will have to try the horchata another time.

Mom had the night's special (burrito and taco with chicken), I had the quesabirria taco dinner and my wife got the birria ramen.

Mom's meal was hefty and mild, with real chicken (mix of light and dark meat) and real flavors, not Tex-Mex.

Mine was hefty as well but a richer flavor- the consomme added depth without being a salt bomb. Next time I'd order a side salad.. a little lightness and crispness to add balance.

Servers were helpful without being pushy and gracious to an elder.

Lots of range in the menu without holding back on...

What a fun place! Looking ahead at the menu, I noticed lots of versions and variations of food with Birria meat, but the one item that stood out I haven’t seen anywhere else was the BIRRIA PIZZA. Went in to place a takeout order of a Birria Pizza and was not disappointed!! This pizza had 3 tortilla layers + 2 beef layers + cheese which resulted in absolutely satisfying deliciousness! There was no searching for meat or cheese — lots of both! — and everything was balanced across every tortilla. Loved the acidic lime to balance the rich and savory flavors. My only comment about the pizza is about the radish garnishes — the thick cuts were not pleasant on my palette (to be transparent: I have a like/hate radishes to begin with) but if they were sliced thinner (or swapped out daikon instead of the radish) I think that would be a better result for me personally. Absolutely will return! Delicious food and pleasant staff! 10/10

First of all amazing food! If you are looking for great food and support local this is a place to visit! My experience started very well drinks were alittle slow but I was ok with that. We order a few different items to try we tryed the wet burrito it was a special however we ordered chicken and got beef however on a positive note they offered to replace it for us but we choose not to. Birra tacos are definitely a hit! I enjoy them every time! Besides that we enjoyed 6 margaritas as they had happy hour buy one get one half off however the bill by the seat so even tho me and my woman had a total of 6 together we got billed by the seat meaning I seat was charged for 3 drinks only 2 qualified for happy hour one full price same with seat 2 so we paid full price for 4 drinks 2 we got half off! Just something to think about. However we love this place and will go on are favorite local authentic Mexican restaurant!

My family and I have been going to Eddie's restaurants since 2005. This is his latest based on the Birria Street Tacos. It started as a taco truck and moved to this location. The menu is made up of foods using the Birria meat and soup. Eddie is a great guy, and the food is fantastic. You get chips and salsa when you sit down at the table. The salsa is not as good as his other restaurant, El Carambas, but still tasty. I recommend the original street tacos. They are fantastic. Plus, it's a lot of food. And if you go on your birthday they will sing for you. It's lots of fun.
