WASTE of time & money! I visited QDOBA for the first time yesterday. The customer service was truly TERRIBLE. The 2 male employees there clearly had ZERO interest in customer satisfaction or doing their jobs well. In addition to the food preparer being clueless as to how to make the tacos I ordered (2 Bohemian Veg tacos, which is a menu item) & needing to have the instructions directly in front of him pointed out, I waited at least 5 extra mins. (no one else in line) while 2nd guy went to the back to chop onions they'd run out of (neglected to keep ingredient bin full) as the preparer stood in place & awkwardly glanced at me in silence & didn't dare continue adding ingredients (must be done in perfect order, apparently) until I told him it didn't matter to me. After my very simple order was finally finished (a total of about 10 mins), no apology was given or comment, preparer just rang it up, took my money & gave change back. Instead of putting my to-go order in the paper bag, he just handed the bag to me (despite my hands being full) to open & put my container in myself and walked away without saying a word to me. The food was okay, but really lacked flavor & spice. Wish I'd gone somewhere else with good food & competent, considerate service! Despite being excited to try this place out as it's very close to home & has a desirable menu, I won't be returning (as I'd hoped to...
Read moreI’ve always enjoyed the food at Qdoba. It’s flavorful, fresh, and usually a good value. Lately, though, I’ve noticed a big difference depending on who prepares your order. It looks like they have a new assistant manager, and unfortunately, she has been very stingy with portions. I’ve had food made by her twice, and both times the servings were much smaller than what I’m used to.
Also, certain items now have extra charges that are not always clearly explained. For example, an extra scoop of guac costs more now, and asking for a tortilla on the side with your burrito bowl also adds a charge.
If you want a better experience, I recommend ordering from the dark skinned Mexican woman or the Black man working there. They are consistently generous and respectful, and they serve food the way Qdoba used to when it felt like a great deal.
I hope leadership brings more consistency to the experience without lowering the standard set by the team members who are already doing...
Read moreOrder two chicken bowls and when we got home discovered the chicken meat was not cooked thoroughly. I called the restaurant and they said they couldn’t refund my cc but to stop in for a replacement next time I’m downtown. When I went back the employees said the manager was busy and they couldn’t replace or refund the meals and seemed clueless. I left my phone number and later received a call from a manger stating that they would mail me a certificate for replacements. It’s been a while and I never received them. I’ve always enjoyed Qdoba as their gluten free options and handling are great, however after this experience I have not returned. I previously ordered take out about once a month from their restaurant. I wish they would’ve handled this better. Undercooked chicken is a big NO as is wasting a (previously) loyal...
