Olde Brick House is a truly wonderful experience and great place for a “Date Night” too! #RochMNEats It began when I called to inquire about the best place to park. The proprietor was so helpful in telling me there is one "handicap accessible" parking spot right in front and also the nearby Center Street Ramp. I immediately felt I was being invited to enjoy a full end-to-end experience at their establishment. Our next pleasantry was being seated in an intimate leather booth. The Irish Pub décor and lighting with Irish background music is a cozy ambiance…and allowed us to have conversation at our table without competing with music. Our server, JR, is really great…he told us about a special that evening, explaining the menu when we had questions—he really knows the menu well. And, of course…the FOOD…it was superb! The plating presentation, temperature, and unique upscale flavors were all scrumptious. We ordered “GUINNESS FISH & CHIPS” and “FLAT IRON STEAK” followed by a heavenly dessert Bread pudding…topped with whiskey caramel sauce. Oh by-gosh-by golly…Olde Brick House is a little pot-o-gold in Rochester, MN. Thanks for making a great Date Night!

Love the Irish pub atmosphere they made here. Our server was energetic and personable. Food portions were above average and full of flavor. I had more than half left over. The only minor complaint was that the food wasn’t hot, it was warm. Would recommend for sure! Update: We went out for Happy Hour last night. We had the Bangers & Mash + Fish & Chips. I also ordered the Blackberry Sage G+T. The bangers were good, needed a bit of salt and pepper and wasn’t as hot at we had hoped for. Something we notice when coming here is food tends to be warm but not hot. The fish & chips came with one large piece of fried fish & a bunch of chips. The tarter sauce and other sour cream dipping sauce was delicious. The fish was standard but the chips and dipping sauce was 🤌🏼 Loved my blackberry sage G+T, it was well balanced. Not our favorite Happy Hour spot but is nice that they are open later than a lot of places in town.

Quaint pub downtown decked for the holidays. Intimate booths keep the vibe fun along with stained glass. Service and food quality do not match the ambiance though. Spinach & artichoke dip was not hot enough, but enjoyable. Over-flavoring of food was our experience. The stew had an abundance of mushrooms, carrots and meat, very rich gravy, and hardly any potatoes. Garden salad was pleasant; I do recommend it. Mediterranean Pasta was doused in its sauce taking away flavor of its accompaniments. Lemonade mocktail tasted like glycol medicinal test per my young adult child. Cranberry mule was delish. When finished our server was not to be seen even after other servers checked in on their patrons twice; I had to get up to request a check on a Monday night

As many folks know, Rochester, MN is the home of the top hospital in the world-Mayo Clinic. Every day is a daunting task in so many ways to just get through, so when I found Olde Brick House this afternoon, our day was instantly better.

In the South, we say food is love. When we walked in and were immediately greeted in the warmest of ways, I knew I found the right place. You have no idea what that means on a rough day.

Our server (Joshua) was quick to grab a napkin to catch my tears, to fix a refreshing drink, and share details on the best dishes to suit our needs. It was quite busy but he made us feel like we were his only table……all while customers were seated at tables in his sections inside and outside .

The fish and chips were food for the soul and little did he know, my sweet loving husband had been craving a big ole Reuben sandwich for weeks. It was all spot on perfect, tack on the bread pudding and his compassionate smile, and our day was completely turned around for the better.

We were so impressed, we actually ordered extra dishes to bring back to our hotel for dinner. I already snuck a bite of the Baileys Cheesecake and I might not be sharing that one this evening. Lol.

I’m counting the hours until we heat up the Guinness stew and the Bangers and Mash! Two full meals from one restaurant in one day speaks volumes!

So thank you for having employees with hearts, food made with love, and for making a day in our life substantially better in every way.

Kudos to ALL of you. I mean that from the bottom of my heart and my...

Was in town for the weekend for a dance competition for my niece and we were very excited about coming to this restaurant. I cannot even express how disappointed I was. The service was absolutely horrible. I would not blame it all on the waitress because apparently the kitchen was extremely slow with our food that took well over an hour to get, but the lack of Communication from the waitress did not help either. It was almost impossible to find her. Even asking the hostess, where our waitress was, it took a long time for the hostess to come back and said our waitress would come and talk to us. Service was extremely slow, kitchen was extremely slow, we didn’t get all the food that we ordered. I had one child sitting with no food while everyone else was eating their food. We didn’t get other things that were ordered. We were supposed to get the Smashed peas which we were looking forward to and we never got those. We had to leave the restaurant and stop at Subway on the way home to pick up a sandwich for one of the kids. I think we should have known better when it was so easy to get into this restaurant and it was 1230 in the afternoon. The Italian place right next to it was packed, both inside and out and the food smelled marvelous. I wish we had gone there. So disappointing. Our bill was almost $80 and normally I would have tipped the waitress $20 but I have to admit, this was the first time in my life that I did not leave a tip. So...

Old Brick House absolutely nailed it. From the moment we walked in, the place had that perfect balance of warmth and character, the kind of spot that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy a proper meal.

My ex-wife and I each had the shepherd’s pie, and let me tell you, it was an absolute knockout. Rich, savory, perfectly seasoned filling with a creamy, buttery mash on top, done exactly how it should be. No shortcuts, no bland, lifeless bites, just proper, hearty comfort food. Every spoonful was packed with flavor, the kind that makes you pause for a second just to appreciate how well it’s been made.

My daughter had the cheeseburger and fries, and it was everything a good burger should be. Juicy, cooked to perfection, seasoned properly, none of that dry, overcooked nonsense. And the fries? Crisp, golden, fresh. Not a single soggy one in sight. It’s the little details like that that make all the difference.

Service was spot-on. Friendly, efficient, and actually cared about making sure everything was just right. You can always tell when a place takes pride in what they do, and it shows in everything from the food to the atmosphere.

By the time we were done, it was one of those meals where you sit back, completely satisfied, knowing you’ve just had something made with real care and passion. Proper food, proper service, and a place worth coming back to...
