1-20-25 My wife and I came here on a cold frigid day. It is restaurant week and this in our first restaurant if the week. My wife decided in a burger while I order the 3 course meal they offer for restaurant week. My wife likes beef well done (I know) and I did taste it. Not my liking with the well done burger but she said it was good. My 3 course meal however was way better than I expected. The house soup they had that day was tomato soup which tasted like a fancy marinara sauce which tasted good. The entree I got was the Smoked Duroc Pork Chop. The size of the pork chop was small but it was packing some real good flavor. The inside was nice and soft while the outside wasn’t too crispy. It wasn’t dry at all. The carrots were really flavorful and soft and I just kept wanting more. The potatoes had good seasoning flavors. The sauce was thick and goes well with the pork. One of the pork chop I’ve had in life so far. Then came the dessert. I had chocolate torte. The dessert was good. Not too sweet. I wish it was a softer cake, but overall it was chocolaty. Overall a good place to eat, will be back next time to try different food. First restaurant of restaurant week and it did not disappoint, hopefully the other place we go to are just as good. Also heard from the server talking with another customer that they are going to change the inside soon.

I’ve been here for breakfast many times. I make it a point to stop in after getting lab work at Mayo because I am usually “hangry”…First off, it is a great breakfast! The servers are very attentive and friendly. You need to know that it won’t be cheap, but the food quality and service make up for it. This is not like eating at the Skylight commons…. that has its place if you’re in a hurry and need to fill your gullet—but at Salute for breakfast—You’ll get real hot, good tasting food and coffee in a quiet environment… Both Linda and Michaelee are great servers. (Btw— the whole place is getting renovated soon, so we will see what happens). Anyway— I’ll be back for my all American breakfast done just how I love it soon!

Loved the food and wine at Salute! My husband and I ate there twice during my recent visit to Mayo Clinic. The first night our delightful waitress Christine suggested the Walleye. Having never had it before, I gave it a try. Deliciously prepared and served with seasoned potatoes and broccolini, all cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed his pork tenderloin, grilled asparagus and cranberry apple chutney. We were told that the chef and kitchen staff were new so if you haven’t tried this gem recently, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I recently had the opportunity to work at what was once one of my favorite restaurants, and while the food remains good, there are noticeable areas where improvement is needed, particularly in management and operations.

The quality of the food is still commendable, showcasing the culinary skills that initially drew me to this establishment. Each dish is flavorful and well-prepared, and it’s clear that the kitchen staff takes pride in their work. However, it’s disheartening to see that the overall dining experience has declined over time.

One of the most concerning issues is the slow service. Each visit has been marked by longer wait times, which can be frustrating for diners. It seems that the management needs to reassess their staffing and operational strategies to enhance efficiency and improve the flow of service during busy hours.

Additionally, the restaurant's marketing efforts could use a major overhaul. It feels like the charm and excitement that once surrounded this place have faded, and a revitalization of their marketing strategy could help draw in more guests and remind patrons of the exceptional dining experience they once enjoyed.

Moreover, I believe that management should prioritize listening to their staff's concerns, especially regarding their well-being. It’s crucial for a workplace to foster a supportive environment where employees feel heard and valued. Instead of singling out one individual for disciplinary action when issues arise, it would be more effective to address the team as a whole. If multiple staff members are facing the same challenges, a collective approach to problem-solving would promote a more cohesive and positive work environment.

In conclusion, while I still appreciate the good food served at this restaurant, I hope to see management take proactive steps to address these operational shortcomings. With the right changes, this establishment could reclaim its status as one of the best dining...

Salute wine bar & more is now one of my favorite places to eat in Rochester, Minnesota! My father has Celiacs and I have lots of food allergies! They have a huge gluten free menu and are extremely cautious. Usually gluten free portion sizes are small and expensive not here. They r huge and great prices and are delicious. I usually can't have pasta out of the house because I have a gluten sensitivity not celiacs but I can't eat gluten I am allergic to corn so most gluten free pasta have corn in it so I showed my allergy card and asked her to ask the chef if it was safe for me to eat, she comes back and says chef says you are all good to have pasta we don't do corn pasta because of that allergy it is rice pasta. Needless to say that chef made my day. My dad the one visit had chicken Marcela he said it was very tendar and the mashed potatoes were amazing. My other 3 family members got reubons and these folks are defenitly not typical reubons they are piled high with meat and they all said they tasted amazing. Needless to say if u want amazing food and great service oh and good prices eat here. It's kind of like a hidden gem. P.S. If u r like my Dad and myself and have allergies I definitely recommend eating here neither one of us got cross contaminated and our food we got...
