My daughter and I went there Saturday 3/5/22, We went inside and placed 2 shrimp veggie dinners. Then we asked for duck sauce and was told No. We were Luke huh. Then he went over and gave us some. Weird right🤷🏽♀️. We noticed this one lady, kept coming back inside, bc they had left something out.
We got all the way home, we stay at least 20+ minutes from this place. My daughter immediately said this isn’t good. I tasted mine and the shrimp was HARD, and some of my rice was hard as well, a very SMALL AMOUNT OF VEGIES and at this point I wasn’t happy. I immediately called and told the guy that answered, what was happening, he was super quiet for about 20 seconds and immediately started speaking another language. I assume that he was relaying the message to the someone else. He then said “speak very little ENGLISH”…. I said that “ I will try to work with this food. After realizing that this was a big NO for me, I put it in the fridge and Called them on Monday.
I got the same run around. I asked to speak with the kitchen Manager. Someone came to the phone and say “hello”. I asked who is this, he said Romero. I asked him, are you the kitchen manager and he said yes. Clearly he was understanding everything I was saying.
I repeated everything and I asked him did he have a different cook on Saturday night around that time, He never answered that question. I’ve ordered b4 and it the shrimp was perfect. I asked him what was I to do, he asked my ticket number, I gave it to him, then he started speaking another language, I could hear multiple people speaking the same language. Then all of a sudden, He hangs up the phone. I called back and asked for Romero, he said this is Romero, at this point, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe we got disconnected.
I told him who I was and that we were just talking about my food, he said yes.🤦🏽♀️ I asked him politely, what happened and did he hang up on me? He said… Speak very little English! I can’t even deal with this kind of NON SENSE.

This was the first time we ever placed an order with American Deli of Rock Hill, SC and based on online reviews of 4.4 for home delivery. Order consisted of two meals (1) Philly meal with extra cheese, lettuce and 30 oz sprite and (2) Burger Meal with Bacon and 30oz fruit punch with NO CONDIMENT! What was received was meals with ALL CONDIMENTS (Ketchup, Mayo, pickles, etc.) and the Soda was CARBONATED WATER! I called and spoke to the Manager and explained what happened. It would have been good customer service if he had offered to replace this order, give credit to a future order or refund me due to their error. Instead he flat out refused to do anything to correct their mistake despite pointing out that their receipt specifically noted no condiments. American Deli partners with DoorDash delivery, this manager had the audacity to BLAME DoorDash for their error. I’m out $25.73 to American Deli plus $7.00 tip to driver and meal trashed as my children will not eat it. CUSTOMERS BEWARE, THIS ESTABLISHMENT EXHIBITS UNSAVORY PRACTICES. Read moreI ordered through DoorDash and part of my order was missing. When I called the female answering the phone said it wasn't their fault and to call DoorDash. When I asked for the manager she said to call back in 20 minutes because he left. I asked for his name and she refused to give it, not even a first name. She claimed she'd been instructed to NEVER give out his name. If this is true it seems very shady. I've done customer service for more than 20+ yrs and first names are required. DO NOT ORDER HERE. The order missing was for my child who's birthday we were celebrating 2020 style. I'm quite angry with the way I was treated and the fact responsibility was not accepted by the restaurant for quality customer service. This was the FIRST and LAST time I order here.
