It truly feels like home here. It was a home once, but still feels like one today, even though there is plenty of seating for everyone. Don't fret! There is plenty of parking in the back. Once you get inside, you'll quickly see what all the hustle and bustle. But it's all welcoming sounds that help this feel like a place you can belong. No, let's get to the food!
The AI is not wrong; this place is very efficient. I suspect the staff has been together a long time based on the fun conversations and how well they interact to get orders fulfilled and keep everyone happy. Right! The food!
I had the Sausage Gravy Biscuit with a side of eggs and sausage (it was supposed to be bacon, but they let me swap). This meal was perfection. My mother would have been proud. The sausage was one of the best I have ever eaten. It was juicy on the inside with a nice crisp on the outside. I'd come here for that alone. But wait, there's more! The sausage gravy was well balanced. The biscuit was not dried, but instead a fluffy dough of joy. It worked so well with the gravy, and felt light going now and nestling in my stomach (instead of like a heavy brick like others). Eggs were good. Coffee was decent.
Customer service is fantastic here. A place to return any Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Bring cash or be ready to use their ATM (they do not take credit cards. Dave Ramsey would be...
Read moreThis was my second time coming here. So upon walking in I was greeted by a worker I told her that’ll I was paying cash and that I was going to get money out of the atm before ordering since they don’t accept cards. Well while I was getting my money out gentlemen who work there come over speak and ask if I worked anywhere. At the time since I was focused on getting my money out I didn’t think much of it i figured he may have recognized me from my business until I realized that wasn’t why he asked me that. I feel like I was being stereotyped because there was no one else who came in afterwards was followed to the back room where the atm is at like I was. Once I gotten my food I asked the man for some salt and ketchup he said ok I’ll get you some another worker overheard my request and handed me a couple of packs when the man came back he only had the ketchup and said I got grab your salt before I could finish saying anything the couple beside me ( who appeared to be regulars)responded for me by saying she already gave it to him like I couldn’t speak for myself or I was looking to capitalize off extra salt packages. I was the only African American in there and after reading prior reviews and after my...
Read moreHave to tell you about a place we discovered today for lunch in Rock Hill, SC. It's called Ebenezer Grill and the proprietor is Loyd Ardrey. Last week we were heading back from lunch in Rock Hill and I saw Ebenezer Grill as we passed it. So I made a reminder on my phone to check it out Today, best decision. We stopped in on our lunch break and was greeted by Lloyd. The place was packed with only four spots, Lloyd directed us to the back and sat us at the bar. Our drink orders were taken and deliver quickly. I'm exaggerating for effect, our orders were delivered before we finished ordering. We all got two hotdogs and french fries $5.50 (loaded onions, mustard, chili (no beans), coleslaw). They are the best hot dogs I've eaten since moving back to South Carolina. We definitely will be going back and trying the other offerings, we hear the Soup and Pull Pork are great. It was new to us, but this place has been around all long time and telling from the traffic coming in/out it will be around for a lot longer! ...
