Groucho's Deli — Restaurant in Rock Hill

My mom and I tried to eat here for dinner Saturday, August 26th. We walked in and ordered with a not so friendly cashier who didn’t even hear me order or ring up my sandwich until she said the total and I realized it was for just my moms sandwich. My mom also asked a question and she didn’t answer so she has to ask again more directly. Maybe it was the loud music blasting in the kitchen but I digress. I paid and, I’ll be honest, did not leave a tip. In my opinion she was not helpful, friendly, and acted like we were an inconvenience. It was just a bad experience. However, the real problem was that after we paid and walked to the left of the counter I heard her walk back to give the order to the cooks and say “Spit in that one for me” and she laughed. I told my mom what I heard and we decided to ask for a refund as we were not comfortable eating there anymore. My mom walks up the counter, asks for a refund and confronts the cashier about the spitting comment. She says it wasn’t about our order but for a coworkers order. Either way it is in bad taste to joke about spitting in food within earshot of paying customers. But we got the refund and left. We most likely will...

This is new to me while hubby frequents here quite often. I got the “my wife’s salad” with ranch(xtra), kosher dill pickle, and a dr. Browns black cherry cola. First off. The ranch. I could drink it, it is so good!!!!! I ordered extra but the amount that comes with it is plentiful! The salad is amazing! I am tired of fast food and lately I just haven’t been up to cooking. This was perfect! I got it door dashed. I appreciate the freshness of all the ingredients and you cannot beat 11$ for the amount you get. I’m a pickle girl and the pickle was pickling. 😻 I have found a new favorite place to dine. Thank you so much Groucho’s! Ordered a salad asked for no beans get all the way home ready to eat this skimpy salad and find beans all in it after the lady that took my order told me they would not be in there....then I called and spoke with the manager I told him what happened he offered a $5 gift card I told him I still had the whole salad and just want a Refund...he offer to replace the salad but I don’t order twice from nowhere once you mess up my order that’s it there are no second chances but he never offered to give me my full refund only offered to replace and give me a $5 gift card I don’t want that I want my $11 back for the very small supposedly large salad I will never ever set foot on their property ever again!!!
