Worst customer service experience and indignant petty staff. I went through the drive-through to get one cup of coffee, but I missed seeing the order station until I was past it.
After waiting for the previous customer, I apologized to the girl for missing it but she said she still wouldn't serve me and insisted that I circle back around and sit behind what was 6 cars now to get my one cup of coffee.
I told her to just put the order through, but she still refused, saying she couldn't because they have procedure. Obviously, she could but didn't want to, and I told her so.
She sneered and walked away for about 4 minutes when the manager came to the window and tried arguing with me for not following "procedure" and that he'd do it this time but never again. I actually thought all this drama queen stuff was hilarious by this point, but I finally actually laughed at him when he wanted to know if I was adding a tip to the card. He then insisted I select my tip option on the card machine, which he refused to bring down to my eye level where I could see it until he realized I wasn't just going to poke at it blindly.
He turned up his nose and sarcastically wished me "a better day" I suggested he "look up the definition for customer service ", smiled and drove away.
Sooo Starbucks staff, thanks for reminding me how little but important it is to accommodate small customer mistakes by not being flamboyantly petty. But most of all, thanks for the chuckle and a story to tell everyone at the hospital where I was bringing your coffee. No doubt, however, all the customers behind me weren't as happy to wait while you reveled in your indignation over "procedure". I can see why there are so many recent complaints about your staff and customer service. You know... pouring coffee shouldn't be so hard.
For anyone interested, there's actually a place almost across the street with a better tasting product, cheaper prices and pleasant staff as I...
Read moreSo I never write bad reviews. Ever. I’m never the customer to complain even when someone messes an order up I just am grateful for anything. I worked in customer service for a very long time and learned that there’s a right way and a wrong way to speak to people. I come to this location all the time and usually the employees are so nice. I came through the other day and placed a mobile order and I didn’t realize you needed to place the order several minutes before arriving. I’ve never paid attention to that so it’s my fault. But the employee that greeted me at the window was EXTREMELY rude to me about “for future reference give us a little more time for mobile orders” it wasn’t what was said it was the tone of voice. It was very rude wjd I didn’t appreciate it at all. I also ordered a food item and she ignored me still sitting there and asked why I was still there. I said very nicely that I also had a ham & Swiss sandwich. She was rude about that too. Don’t remember her name but it was Tuesday morning that I went through. I went through again and she was rude again and I was even extra nice. So I won’t be returning to this location. I will be going to others. I never ever feel this way about places because I understand what it’s like to work in food service but I don’t like feeling uncomfortable going in a drive thru. It’s a little ridiculous. I would suggest finding a different person to work your drive thru window ;) thank you for everyone...
Read moreIf your having a medical emergency DO NOT STOP AT THE Starbucks. Especially at 128 S Herlong Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29732. This past Thursday was not a good experience at our Starbucks that we regularly go to. On our way home from being out, my mother got sick from something. She asked me to stop somewhere. We stopped at Starbucks. We are regular customers and we order through drive through. This was our fist time coming in. She got sick and when she came out, got dizzy and had to sit. My mother has some health issues, diabetes and a cancer patient with Atrium health. Everyone has some form of policy or rule, but if someone is having a medical emergency and don't know what to do, one's right mind would be to help in some way, not argue with someone about a rule/policy that we can't control. We were not trying to stay in the establishment, my mother was sick. We are always buying from that specific location, but the onetime we are not buying a $7 drink drink and just need water we can't get that. You would think with ALL THE TIMES we have come to this location and bought items my mother could just get a sip of water to regulate herself. This all happened this past Thursday around 2:45pm it was only two people visibly working. One African American lady and one white lady, it was the white lady that I spoke to. I communicated that she was having a medical emergency and that did not mean shit to her,...
