(Also posted to Yelp) We are the travelers craving some Chinese food! After looking at other Chinese places in town, we choose this one based on their Google/Yelp reviews. We ordered takeout sesame chicken, orange chicken, and swapped our white rice with 'fried rice'.
Pro tip if you're ordering fried rice: look at their fried rice menu section, (or view their online menu in advance). Do you expect vegtables in your fried rice, ham, etc? Be sure to order that. We told the staff exactly, "I'd like to have some fried rice," and they packed us plain rice that was fried. Nothing else mixed in. See my photo attached. Hopefully that's on us for not reading their menu correctly and not their misunderstanding.
Pro tip if you're ordering orange chicken: be sure to confirm the spice levels. There's no spicy symbol on the orange chicken, but I couldn't finish all of mine because there was a kick to it. Could it be they used general tso sauce? If your sensitive to spicy food like me, be sure to ask the spice level; if I had some milk I would've finished it, it was otherwise tasty.
Obviously, the sesame chicken was the biggest hit at the table. It was as expected, not spicy AND satisfied our cravings. Their speed of making and preparing our food was in about 10 minutes. They were very fast and convenient with our takeout order. If we're ever passing through again and craving chinese, we'd come back - but would make sure not to run into the previous...
Read moreOk the run down on this restaurant. When you go in you see Chinese Decor. The food is fantastic I wish more of these restaurants had this good of taste and flavor. I ordered a monster combo so I could see how they are for several things. I got sweet and sour chicken, pork and shrimp. Sizzling rice soup, shrimp and broakley, house fried rice which has also shrimp, pork and chicken along with an appetizer. So allot of food. All was tasted really good. Now I hope they read these reviews because a couple of things for them to improve on. A touch more light. They have great bright fresh food, let's show it off. Never have carpet in a restaurant it never looks or wears well. Carpet makes the restaurant look dirty and after a few years gets a smell you just don't want. Every Chinese restaurant lacks in this area is the service. Come by the table just a little more often and do a quick check to make sure things are going well and make sure no drinks are below or close to only half full.
Other then those few things I will for sure go back here and enjoy more great...
Read moreAmazing! My family was traveling home from Utah and decided to stop for dinner. It seemed odd for a restaurant to serve Thai, Japanese and Chinese especially in Western Wyoming but my daughter was craving Asian food.
I love Thai food so I ordered a Thai basil that came out on a sizzling a hot plate with rice. I also like it Thai hot but the server/ owner said it would be beyond edible but could bring the peppers to me. WOW! The food was wonderful, the spice sweet and hot enough I couldn’t imagine the kitchen adding it without using a respirator and goggles.
The server was extremely pleasant, the service was fast and helpful. The bill did not represent the quality of food and service, you should increase your prices.
I would give Siam King more than 5 stars if I could. Please relocate to For...
