Maximo's Cafe — Restaurant in Rockaway

Maximos is one of the best cafés that I have ever been to. The food, atmosphere, and staff have always been so outstanding. At Maximos, you can get anything from a delicious cappuccino, to a breakfast sandwich, to yummy homemade pastries and cakes. The staff here always took pride in putting their best foot forward and it showed. I came to this place very often because of how consistent everything was and how well I was taken care of here. My favorite dish to have was their prosciutto croissant and any of their coffees. Maximos is exactly what Rockaway needed, there was no other place like it in the surrounding area. Love this local cafe’s vibe, food and service!

Came for lunch during the weekday and ordered the pesto toast with coconut lemonade. Both were delicious and full of flavor! I chugged the lemonade, it was so good.

The cafe plays music, so if you’re looking for something quiet, this isn’t the spot. But the playlist was amazing and upbeat.

The service was friendly and a good pace. You will wait a little bit because they seem to keep a small crew during the day, but nothing drastic.

How I didn't know about this delightful coffee shop until a year after its opening, I don't know! But I'm sure happy I found it. I got the coffee frappe, Maximo's salad special & prosciutto croissaint and my husband got the tomatoe soup & passion fruit special frappe. Everything was delicious, fresh and presented SO nicely, as if I was in the city or upscale location. And the decor? Absolutely beautiful & such a nice vibe.
