McDonald's — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I just today went through the drive up. I checked my food before I drove away. They seem to always mess up my sandwich when I say only onions. So I make it a habit to check now before leaving. It was fine and I figured they couldn't mess up a happy meal. When I got ten minutes home I see all is in the happy meal except the nuggets. My three year old daughter was crying she was hungry and didn't understand why we had to get down from the table and go back in the car. I had to drive ten minutes back to get the nuggets. The employee would not get a manager so I told her the issue and how I was not happy this happens a lot at this restaurant. She could see I had my little girl and this meal was for her and she was crying. She looked at the receipt and said she would get a new meal. I told her I was also not happy that now the rest of my food is cold at home. So she said she would get me all new food in a tone of voice like I was stupid because I didn't realize she would get me all of it fresh again. Then I had to wait for a long time to get the new food. It was a slow night and only one person ahead of me. Then she just says,"here is your food." I never once got an apology. Then my poor daughter falls asleep in the car on the way home and I have to wake her to eat which means more crying because she realizes she is still starving. I also made darn sure that if there was no apology we would get a different toy from the first meal. Luckly we did or I would have had more words about at least giving us that if they weren't going to be nice to us. I think I will stick to the Belvidere restaurants now. The people there seem to be nicer and listen to your order and aim to please. Not to mention they cook and clean better too. Rockford McDonalds' are...

The line was super long, which was fine. But, we ordered a 2 cheeseburger meal with no pickles.. we got pickles. The quarter pounder I order tasted horrible and the fries were cold. For as busy as they were, fries should have definitely been hot and fresh.

Another review for 12/18/2022 Drive-thru My Big Mac was COLD. Fries were like waem. Again, they were busy, so any of my food was cold.The 2 girls at the money wind had NO customer service skills. It's pretty sad that people can't appreciate the fact that they have a job, and show pride for where they work. Back in the day, I'd say I get working at McDonald's. But they pay for college, they pay decent, how could you not show appreciation that the people in your line help pay your bills.? How you not show respect for the people that hired you so you can pay your bills, in providing fresh, hot food, and good customer service. If you don't like people, go work in a factory.

Update 09-09-24 We didn't get the bacon added to our burger, we paid for. My son didn't get fries with his happy meal. we also asked for Honey mustard and got BBQ . Both adults meals were supposed to be large ... Nope. The only large we got was one large drink.... If your employees can't take an order right, or read an expedite screen correctly, maybe they need to learn the language barrier before being on a speaker talking to people they can't understand. Makes it impossible for ANYONE to be on the same page. Get it together Perryville McDonald's. You're infamous for screwing up... Royally Is thwe a way to give negative stars. Cause that's what this store has...

My girlfriend and I each order table service through the app, as we have at other locations, without issue. At this location, my girlfriend did not get her food served to her, instead they called her name to come pick up, despite the tag clearly saying table service. Then, my order was up, and it was brought to me without the drinks I ordered for us. I asked and the server said that I needed to get cups from the counter and fill them myself. That's not how table service works, nor is how it's described in the app. She said that's how she was trained. She further reasoned it was out of concern for product waste, because people might order a coke & then come to pick up and change to a sprite, etc. She gave me two empty cups and I tried filling them with coke. All 4 of the nozzles were foamy and spitting so after I had tried and failed to fill them, making a bit of a mess on my hands, jacket & counter, dumping out the half filled cups, I asked the same girl to please fill the cups with ice & coke for me. She did, and I went back to the table to where my girlfriend was already finished eating, and she sat and waited until I was finished eating. It simply made for a less than enjoyable experience spent together. Sticky hands, frustration and food getting colder by the minute.
