Normally we have a good experience but this time my son was humilated embarassed and this just set me over the edge. Came all the way from dixon me my husband and my son, we waited to be sat which is totally normal no issue the hostess grabbed 3 menus sat us down only to give up 2 adult menus and a child menu and walked away before I can say we needed that 3rd menu. So we wait our waitress came over and I asked for a menu for my son the waitress grabbed kiddie menus and said here ur menu is right here picking it up n tossing it in front of my kid. I so kindly slid the kiddie menu back to her and my child is 13 year old and doesn't have to eat off the kiddie menu that's for children younger ( not saying he isn't allowed to) but anyway she then gives me.a.dirty look and proceeds to tell me " well he doesn't even look 13" why because my child isn't 6ft 10? So whatever I was irritated already with her. Then she was rushing up to order our food we ordered and the appetizers came the onion rings were harder then a rock mind you they are 12 bucks the pickles came and they were soggy and not cooked all the way. W.e we didn't say anything delt with it then the food came to the table my son had to wait 10 more minutes before he got his food I cut into my burger asking for well.down well big shocker the burger was raw like the meat way pulling away from eachother raw. So I didn't eat it I was pissed and didn't say anything then my husband ordered sweet potato fries and got regular so the manager came up and asked how it was I explained she apologized well.then the waitress came over and said " why didn't you tell me you wanted s.p fries I looked at her and said YES HE DID after 5hr attitude she gave the manager came back and I just lost it simply explained how disgusted I was at the waitress and I wanted my check and we were done we started talking to the manager about the WELL DONE burger I ordered that was delivered raw then having the waitress tell me that I didn't order it well done when everyone in this world knows I dnt eat pink. When I got my order, the bacon Jammin burger had no avocado, no caramelized onions (which I asked for), no fried egg, and no sweet and savory bacon jam, which is supposed to come with the burger automatically because it is a Bacon JAMMIN Burger. So, I went into the location to tell them that basically, my burger had nothing on it that I ask for, and the hostess was so sweet and professional, she went and told them basically to make my order again and to fix what they missed. She is the only reason I’ve given this place two stars, not because of my meal. So, the nice hostess gives me my new freshly made order, and I check it. My order now has avocado on it but STILL has NO caramelized onions and NO sweet and savory bacon jam, which once again comes with the burger! It’s a Bacon JAMMIN Burger. So I’m baffled! I don’t know if the kitchen didn’t include my sweet and savory bacon jam because I asked for a lettuce wrap, and maybe they felt like they couldn’t spread the jam on the lettuce instead of a bun??? I don’t know! But if that’s the case, they could have at least put the jam on the side or something! I got the burger because of the JAM! The Jam makes it JAMMIN! I recently placed a takeout order at Red Robin Rockford (Order #20023), and while I expected great food, I wasn’t expecting to have one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
From the moment I called in my order, everything was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. My food was ready exactly on time, packed perfectly, and still hot and fresh when I got home. But what truly set this experience apart was the incredible employee who took my order and helped me at pickup.
I think her name was Josselin, but I’m not 100% sure. What I do know is that she was an absolute rockstar.
She wasn’t just polite—she was genuinely kind, upbeat, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She confirmed my order, made sure I had extra fries and sauces, and treated me like a valued guest rather than just another takeout customer. That kind of service is rare these days, and it made a lasting impression.

Josselin (or the amazing employee who handled Order #20023) absolutely deserves recognition, a raise, and a promotion. Employees like her are what make customers return again and again. She turned what could’ve been a routine takeout order into a memorable, five-star experience.
I will 100% be coming back to this location, and it’s because of the outstanding service she provided.
