We went this afternoon around 1:30 p.m. m., there was a person taking orders who I think is the manager because of the way she spoke to the workers, which was not friendly at all. A cook told her that she no longer had a certain food, I imagine it was to let her know that it would take a few minutes to prepare it so the order would obviously take a few more minutes because she had to prepare it, to which she responded "well, do it, that's your job." . "not mine" very rude, communication in a job is very important but the most important thing is how you use it, just because you are a manager you should not treat your employee this way. The manager was never friendly, when placing my order she asked me about my drink, I assumed she was asking me the size of my drink, I had not realized that the water fountain was removed, she asked me again very arrogant "What drink do you want, we have a Pepsi product" I said sorry for the confusion, I see that they no longer have the fountain, and she replied "yes that's why I'm asking you, what drink do you want?" very unfriendly After placing my order I went for ketchup and the pumper didn't have enough, I had to tell that same person that he could add more ketchup because the pumper didn't have enough. She just turn around and asked someone else to add some ketchup to the pumper. I received an order from this particular restaurant last night, I ordered ribs and mushrooms, they were out of mushrooms. I was on the phone with doordash dealing with that situation when I go to take the first bite of my ribs and there's two pieces of glass. They want me to deal with their vendor. That's not my job. The big manager said he didn't see any glass in the picture I sent to his manager of the store last night however she saw the glass I can see the two pieces of glass. And yet nothing is being done for the customer. Accept that I have to wait or it's not their fault and it might not be their fault and it may very well be the vendors issue, but that's for them to deal with not for me. In the meantime I got no meal last night because I couldn't eat the ribs with glass in it. If it was possible, unless I'm missing it there's not a place for me to upload the picture. That's very sad because I really do love the ribs they're they're tender they're good. Read moreI have to say, my wife and I have been long-time customers at Tom and Jerry's in Rockford and Machesney Park. We have not visited here for about 8-9 months due to travel, but we went for dinner at the Rockford location on September 27, 2021, at about 5:30 pm. I would have preferred to send an e-mail to the owner, but there is no contact via e-mail on any of their sites. My usual order is the Gyro Plate with salad and my wife orders the Chicken sandwich on a pita. I ordered the King Gyro Plate. We sat down for our order to be finished and noticed that all the employees were laughing and yelling out loud in an unreasonable tone that carried through the restaurant. When our food was brought, I had no salad and we had no silverware. When asked about the silverware, the counter person was surprised there were none out and he had to scramble and look for some plastic ware that was mismatched and not individually wrapped. The drink machine gave us both the wrong drinks (the orders were totally different) and the counter person stated they were all out of onion rings also. All in all, a disappointing experience.
