Sam's Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in Rockton Township

We used to order from Sam's up to twice a week but over the years the service on the phone has been horrible. Tonight for example I called to place an order and the woman immediately exhaled after I asked to place an order for delivery and said "What do you want?" I said "Nevermind, I will place my order somewhere else." and hung up the phone. I was so put off by the experience I thought maybe I should call back and speak to a manager. Do they know the type of vibe their people are presenting over the phone? So I asked for the manager, I asked for her name, she said "Who are you?" I told her name was Melanie and asked again if I could get her name. It would be nice to know who I am speaking to. She stated she does not give out her personal information to people who withhold their information from her. I told her I already told you my name was Melanie, she advised her name was Georganna (sp) and asked if I had an order. I stated I did not and that is why I was calling, was because of the attitude that we receive any time we call to place an order but that apparently they are just following suit since was herself exteremly rude. I will NEVER order from Sam's again. It is a shame. We like to support our local business partners but won't be supporting this...

Three of us went there this evening 10/29/2022. We have been there a handful of times before and the service was always good. They were not even packed in there. But tonight we walked in and sat down. Three other tables sat down after us. Those three tables got their silverware, menus and drinks and we didn’t get anything but looked at. We were noticed by two different servers and nobody waited on us. After the third table got service we got up and left. But before we left I explained to the server sitting at the table writing that our table was completely ignored and all she could do was say I am sorry with a smile on her face. She didn’t offer service to us or anything to try to get us to sit back down. I did call the manager and he apologized. I just felt like she the server didn’t really care about what I said. Hopefully no other customers get ignored like this. First time this has happened to us there. My husband is very upset about this so we probably won’t be back. I don't know where to start. The tablecloth was old, torn and expired. The sauce had zero taste other than canned tomatoes. You could taste the acidity and the can. Not sure if anyone has ever used spices. The employee breakroom table was in the dining area. The waitress was very eager to take our order but never really checked back after the calzone arrived. I did get a soda refill. The calzone was massive which was very good for sharing. Meatballs also lacked flavor. It had been close to 10 years since my date had dined here...she was expecting it to be different but the only thing different was her companion. Why so much American cheese?

Really disappointed overall. Tasteless sauce and meatballs are unacceptable with so many options available that are premade.

Call in a pizza expert. Your current supplier isn't working and they have no sense of taste. Or maybe it is time for a new cook who isn't yelling the...
