Oh boy, did this hit the spot! I hadn't been to a Don Pollo in over a year since moving and when I found myself in Rockville close to dinner time I had to indulge. The Rockville staff was impressively friendly and helpful; thank you all. ⁨A shout out to the Glenmont location that got me hooked on this deliciousness.

Brought the whole family here on a vacation and had a FANTASTIC meal all around. The chicken was perfectly cooked and wonderfully flavorful. We got some of each side dish and loved all of them- especially the yucca. We're trying to see if we can get back here for more before we head home at the end of our trip.

Somehow this lady Liz decided to greet with really bad attitude when my husband ordered 2 x 1/2 chicken with 2 sides combo.

Somehow she feeling smart to order the same thing but twice of the price. Even charging extra for the dressing without mentioning anything and not even end up giving us the amount of dressing we are paying for. 🤷‍♀️ I am not sure what’s going on with her today but her attitude and the whole thing just making us never want to step in there again.

Watch out for your bills in case someone try to play smart! 1/2 chicken with 2 sides it’s only around $13 and it suppose to come with 3 dressing (1 green, 1 mayo, 1 salad) if you have salad. So smart to lose business for long term. Never gonna come to this location again since there’s way more of don pollo that’s having way better attitude than...

The chicken has a consistent quality and flavor that makes Don Pollo a routine restaurant for me. Its well-seasoned, lightly charred, and juicy to the bone. The sauces are yummy enough to get extras.

The service is friendly and efficient. Your order is received with a smile, your number is called out quickly and clearly. Fresh, warm food is packaged with care in strong bags that can support the weight of your meal.

The atmosphere is a gem in our city. Sounds and smells of sizzling chickens as soon as you enter. Clean, large tables are readily available for self-seating. Soccer on tv, cold Chicha Morada and Inca Colas by the register.

I didn't think much of the place from the outside. I ordered 1/4 dark chicken with 2 sides: rice and beans & fried yuca. It ran me about $7.50 which was very reasonable for the amount of food. Also, they came with 2 sauce: mild and spicy. You can request one over the other if you have a preference. If you want extra sauce, you have to pay $.35 for small and $1.35 For large. Decorations and dining areas seems to be lacking. The place always playing loud Spanish music, which is super annoying when you also try to listen for your food order.
