"Japanese-styled Chinese food" is what I call it.

The food tastes fine and I thought the sushi was the best of all the things in the bento. Service was quick, the price is fair. However it is my opinion that this is Chinese food disguised as Japanese. True Japanese food is much higher quality in terms of ingredients and ingredient selection.

For example they are using the YIPIN soy sauce - that's the super cheap super salty stuff that you get from Chinese fast food places. It would be illegal to call this stuff soy sauce in Japan... Because it is most likely acid treated wheat to give glutamic flavor...rather than properly fermented over time.

also I suspect from the taste of it that there salmon comes from Norway where the cheapest salmon is because it has way more contaminants and pollutants than any other salmon.

Made an order online and paid, so one of my coworkers went to pick up. Went up to the counter and said she had an order to pick up and they asked what she ordered. Apparently the food was already made but they made a completely new order and charged her again. After she said she said we made the online order. Someone called and said that we never picked up our order so we had a hassle about our order that was completed online. They gave us a hard time about a refund about the food that we already picked up. Went inside to get just pick up the food, but they gave the food away. the workers were really nice but the food was very very bad. my first tipoff should've been that it was EMPTY. but i figured it was a weird time, it woukd be fine. it was NOT fine. everything was grossly underseasoned and the carrots in my dish were dry and some were black. the fried rice was so bland and dry, the peas were almost gray.

the hibachi express in kensington is really good, make the trip and go there instead.
