I've ordered carryout twice in the past couple weeks! Love that they're so accommodating with putting sauces on the side and making some substitutions. The two folks I've talked to have been very nice and answered a lot of my questions.
The dumplings are great. I'm partial to the Napa & Mushroom Pork Dumplings! But I've also tried the Chive & Pork Dumplings, the Pan-fried Chive & Pork Dumplings and the "Zhong" Dumplings. I got the hot sause for the Zhong dumplings on the side. Filling on the last 3 dumplings are about the same, but they're shaped differently. I think the steamed dumplings are better than the pan-fried though. Could be that I got carryout and the drive home, but the wrapper/skin on the pan-fried dumplings were a bit dense and chewier than expected.
For appetizers - I've tried cucumber with garlic sauce and peanuts. Very tasty. The cucumbers were fresh and had a nice crunch. The garlic sauce is yummy. Could stand to let the cucumbers soak up the sauce a bit more before eating them. I thought the marinated tofu was going to be more like thin tofu skin, but it was still tasty. Also had the scallion pancakes. This was ok. I've had better at other places and even the frozen ones from the Asian food stores are better. But I usually order these whenever I see them on the menu! :)
Tried a couple of the noodle dishes. Going to try a couple other ones cause the flavors are different than what I'm used to growing up in a Taishan/Canto family. When I ordered the Worcestershire Cool Noodle w. Chicken, I'm glad I got the sauce on the side. It's a lot of sauce, so I only used about half. There's a lot of chicken in this bowl too!
The location is a bit small. They've got a few tables for indoor dining. Parking is a bit limited. It's all good since I'm only doing carryout. Will be back for more...

This place is a tiny hole in the wall, but man does it make fantastic food. Our favorites are the Yu village noodles, orient noodles, hot and sour foon, and the scallion pancakes. Great portion sizes and everything is just fantastic. Authenticity is the word that comes to mine when someone asks what sets this apart from regular Chinese takeout.
Food is always best eaten in store, but takeout is not bad either. Just make sure to part all your soup noodles ASAP before microwave reheating so they don’t goop. If you do go in store there is limited seating as it’s a tight space. Whenever we’ve gone for dinner around 7-8 it’s relatively empty. Weekend lunch at 12:30 is packed full capacity.
Service is great, they really do the best they can with the incredible amount of orders and diners they get. We go...
Read moreI try not to leave a review for a restaurant until I have been to them a few times, but I made an exception here. The reason being that I have been craving some authentic Sichuan tasting food, and this place really delivered. The hot and sour foon and marinated beef tripe remind me of the food made in a shack deep in the rural countryside of Chengdu. The taste might be on the more subtle side to some, but I enjoyed the lack of overpowering spice, with enough tinge of mala and chili oil. The food also came out really fast, as in within 5-10 minutes of my order, the price was good, and the service was great. The main downside is that parking is very limited, though it's within walking distance to the town center parking garages. It was worth the walk in the rain to me. I know where I'll be at when I have my next...
