Let me say I’ve loved (and still love) their rolled ice cream for years! However, I witnessed some poor food handling practices this past weekend. I had ordered rolled ice cream, and the young man making my order, put my wafer and my gummy worms into my cup with his bare hands. There was a full box of gloves sitting right next to him (or at the very least he could have used tongs) so I was quite confused when I watched him do this. I quietly let him know that he should never be handling the food products that way and make use of the gloves sitting next to him. And unfortunately, aside from the apology that he gave I was just a bit underwhelmed by the lack of care or even effort to consider remaking my order. So I figured this would be a great point to bring to the attention of the supervisor/manager from a unhygienic food handling point, but also in regards to people who have food allergies which could increase the chances of some contamination of food products. I’ve tried to get a hold of the person in charge for the last three days, and really didn’t want to come to Google reviews. However, when I finally spoke to the owner, he told me that he was busy and to call him back. When I asked when would be a good time, he just said thank you and hung up. So I just wanted to provide some feedback with the hopes this doesn’t...
Read moreClass 520 has some good ice cream, but for a pretty hefty price (~$7 If I remember correctly). Each cup of ice cream is the same price for any flavor you get and they offer 3 toppings and one sauce after. The ice cream is about average, tasting like any other place. They do offer some exquisite flavors (such as Thai tea ice cream), but this place mostly attracts people for the way they make the ice cream. The ice cream is made in a very interesting way and results in the infamous Thai rolled ice cream. After a few times however, this more or less becomes gimicky and makes it even longer to get your ice cream. They also offer bubble tea. I have only had their special flavors to get the lightbulb cup, and it wasn't the best. I had the Zenyatta (a mix of mango, peach, and strawberry tea with bubbles) and I was expecting a more sweet taste, but it was quite sour and had an odd aftertaste. They also have a neat mirror in the back that everyone can write on and the place is kept clean. They have free stickers at the front and games for you and your friends to play with making the visit quite enjoyable with a...
Read moreI ordered a Thai tea ice cream with 3 toppings and about two bites in, from the bowl came out what looked like a piece of stopper rubber. I brought it to the counter and one employee just laughs and other one first claims it's a blackberry stem then changes the story to say it's a coconut flake. I said first, an apology should've been made since I could've eaten a piece of rubber and second, they shouldn't insult my intelligence by trying to convince me that I wouldn't know the difference btw coconut flakes vs rubber. The girl rolled her eyes when I asked her if she realized I could've eaten this foreign object. Clearly, they were poorly trained and didn't care. I felt so disgusted I threw away the rest, got my refund and left. Also she tried to refund me less amount then claimed it was the right until I showed her the receipt. Such an unethical business. I only saw one customer the entire time I was there on a hot Sat afternoon and now I know why. Stay away if you don't want to be sick. If I could give this place a...
