Dunkin' — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

I wanted to give myself some time to think of the experience I had before leaving a review as I believe every one has an off day. First, this location doesn't offer in store visits, only drive-thru service at this time. I came about 8:30am which were only about 4-5 cars ahead. They blocked off an entrance to to parking lot so there is only one way in and you have to go around the building to go out unless you want to risk damage to your undercarriage by going over an unpaved field. I have what I thought was a simple order of Bacon, Egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel. After more than 10 minutes to see the line had grown even longer. I get down the street only to notice I got the wrong item. Called and they explained that I can bring it back and park in front. Let me explain why I think this is a problem. The line had grown since I had left so it's down to the neighboring building. There is no break in the line to get in so I had to park next door then walk over. Next I say they have given up as when I knocked on the door the person that was there just ignored me and kept on working. I had bag in hand raised up, and she didn't even look at the door. After a steady round of knocking she finally came to the door and advised me that there is no in store visits. I said I was told to come and park outside but that wasn't going to happen. Once I said I can just get my money back then she became interested in the bag I was holding. I finally got my sandwich and it tasted like it had been sitting around as it was cold and the bagel was stale. They care so less about the customers in my opinion that they left the item in the bag that I didn't order. Long lines, unwanted items, uncaring attitudes and no feelings to what they are serving to the customers all tell me in my opinion that they have gave up on everyone. Literally JUST left the drive-thru to order two medium iced almond milk caramel lattes. They were made with regular milk and when my husband asked the young lady working the drive-thru she said we didn't say almond milk when he asked her before driving away from the microphone if she got the almond milk. When we asked for the coffees with almond milk she got an attitude and said we didn't say almond, and got upset. She proceeded to storm away from the window and left us sitting there as she went around the corner to vent I guess. She came back to the window and said well next time order it with almond milk, I leaned over and said to cancel the order all together and there was another young lady in the back making more coffees after she heard us say we were cancelling the order and came over and said well I've already made them and they're gonna be free and asked what was upsetting my husband as he tried to explain everything that she was already aware of since she was standing right there. Very patronizing tone and attitude. Disappointed in this chain and experience all around. If you want better customer service during this difficult time PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE! I love to go to DD. Everytime is a joyful experience. I've been in the inside and they are so friendly, but I usually go through the drive thur because I just love the young lady's spirit. She's very friendly. DD's speed of service , I can't complain. Now today's visit was a blessing. I order my food and the young lady told me to pull around. Now I come to DD about 2 to 3 times a week so I already know, how much my order is. I get to the window, looking for my total on the display on the outside of the window. Let me tell you God will bless you when you least expect it. My blessing was right in front of me (Thank You Jesus ) he put an ANGEL RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Not to protect me but to bless me. I felt so emotional and thankful. I just want to thank god for this angel he sent my way today.
