This is a pic of what they advertise vs what they give you…and it was $11. I’ve had $2 TV dinners that tasted better. The serving size was about the same as the $2 frozen meals too.
The only flavor this “teriyaki chicken and broccoli” had was salt with a pinch of sugar and a drop of cheap soy sauce.
The broccoli had the texture of the stewed broccoli that lunch ladies would plop onto your tray using an ice cream scoop in elementary school.
I later read the description on the Panera site and it said it has cilantro. Mine didn’t.
To make matters worse, the drive through cashier didn’t add the muffies I asked for on my order. I went back in and explained to the dine in cashier that I asked for some but it wasn’t put on my order and wanted to buy them. She offered to give them to me for free for the inconvenience, but I insisted on paying. I think she only charged me for one.
To make matters even worse, I got home and realized they didn’t give me the loaf of French bread I paid for.
To make matters even worse than that, I went back to get my bread and the manager told me a 4” section of a baguette was what I paid for. She threw in a cookie I didn’t ask for, didn’t want, and couldn’t eat anyway because I’m prediabetic…as if it was going to fix things (the muffies weren’t for me). I decided to leave instead of arguing. As I walked out, the drive through cashier yelled for me to wait, told the manager I had in fact ordered a whole loaf (she must not have read the receipt she had been holding), and got one for me.
I know why Panera is so expensive. It’s because they’re constantly giving away product to smooth over their customers. I don’t want free stuff. I want what I ask for and what I paid for.
The only good thing about the Rocky Mount Panera is their employees are nice. They’ve got to be the nicest, most incompetent, restaurant employees ever. My order has been incorrect EVERY SINGLE TIME I’ve gone to the Rocky Mount Panera. It’s sad when McDonald’s has a higher percentage of correct orders...
Read moreWent thru drive thru employee was not friendly at all. I had to ask her to repeat how much I owed because there was food trucks at Sam's club and one of them was behind Panera bread and the generator was loud. She seemed to not care about her job at all. The way she looked at me I was bothering her. She stood there with her arms crossed. When she gave me my change back I said thank you she just turned her head and closed the window. Upon getting my order she looked in the bag handed it to me and I again said thank you and again she did not respond. She was in my opinion very rude to me .I can only assume that management doesn't walk around and notice how employees are treating their customers. I drove up a little and checked my order and I was supposed to have chips in the bag. No chips. No one was behind me so I backed up and looked through the window and the employee was standing there with her arms folded and looked at me and I know I was not going to budge . The employee opened the window and never asked if she could help or anything. I said I was supposed to have chips and I had my receipt in my hand to show her. She got a bag of chips and put them through the drive thru window and slammed the window. Still no I'm sorry kiss your foot or anything. Then I noticed on the receipt that if your order is not right they are supposed to give you a treat for it not being right. Well you know I wasn't gonna ask her anything else. Order was supposed to be checked and initaled that it was correct. Upon getting everything out of the bag there was no spoon either. I had just as soon drive to the Wilson store to get something because they are always friendly there. Never had a problem in Wilson . Hope the Rocky Mount store can have training of their employees to be customer friendly or they will lose a lot...
Read moreThursday 01/08/20 I went to the new Panrea bread in Rocky Mount. This was my first time to try this location. I want to give the staff time to get settled in and familiar with their jobs. My sister and I went in about 5:30 in the evening. I ordered 1st and asked for the Frontega chicken sandwich (whole) and a large bowl of the Broccoli cheese soup. My sister then ordered the same thing only she wanted the 10 vegetable soup. While the food was being prepared I noticed I had only paid for 1 sandwich. I went to pay for another sandwich and make the cashier aware of the problem. I was directed back to the pick up window because a gentleman wished to speak to me. I restated the problem and was told that I needed to go back to the cashier and pay for the "extra" sandwich. At this point I'm aggravated! I get to the register to pay and another person came and told the cashier not to charge me for the sandwich. We wanted baggett pieces with our food. That would be 4 pieces. We only got 3 and one was extremely small. The soup, which was supposed to be the same size, just different flavor, was not the same size. There were at least 9 employees in the store. There were only 2 guests in the store and they were leaving. The drive thru had 4 or 5 cars in it. These employees are poorly trained. They have no idea what is going on. Their customer service skills are sorely lacking. Absolutely"pitiful", especially since they had been open for a month. I'm glad I hadn't visited the store before the 8th of January. This store was very inept. "Shameful and very unlike any Panera Bread store I've...
