Meet and Bread Company — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

As a frequent traveler I like visit different local places where I'm staying. I initially was intrigued based off other reviews and this place did not disappoint and you should absolutely consider this place whether visiting or local, it reminds me of somewhere that would be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The food was incredible, I chose the Risk It For The Brisket burger as an entre, the Philly Cheasteak Egg rolls for an app and fried honey bun to get an overall vibe of flavor. The brisket was tender and juicy with great bark and when paired on the burger it was a perfect match. The Egg Rolls with their dipping are a great bold take on an east coast classic. I would compare them to the cheeseburger Egg rolls at Disney's Magic Kingdom (IYKYK). And the fried honeybun was something Ive not seen offered before anywhere and was unique and definitely a great dessert. I have to give a big THANK YOU to the Meet & Bread staff — the hostesses were absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure my group was well taken care of from start to finish.

Despite the size of our party, everything was handled with ease. The food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious — and best of all, there were no mix-ups or delays. The service was organized and professional the entire time.

My son, a proud 2025 graduate, was thrilled to celebrate such a special occasion at Meet & Bread. What touched us most was the thoughtful gesture at the end of the night — they surprised him with a signed card, a free dessert, and a gift card to say congratulations.

A large group of us dined in. One person in our party didn't get a drink with the rest of us and he had a soda just like the rest of the party. He got his drink about ten minutes after or everyone ordered their meals. The server brought out our meals one at a time for a group of 11. And when my food came out, it was cold. Except for the French fries, those were hot. I still ate my food because we were still waiting on half the table to get their food. Some of us were done eating before the rest of the table got their food and one order took so much longer than everybody else's, and she finally asked for it to go because everybody was done eating.
