First time trying this place and I don't regret going! They were slow, (it was a Monday afternoon) but I was treated well and my waitress was attentive and nice. I had the mozzarella sticks. I saw online and thought I would only be getting 3 or 4, but I got a decent amount. Very hot and very good, though the marinara was just basic. For my main I got a chicken parm sandwich, and it was good for what it was! I had fries as a side (the waitress rang me up for a combo, which I didn't notice. It saved me a few bucks which I appreciate). The fries were fine as well. They weren't the best but they were crispy and better than what you could get from the fast food places next door. They also have Cheerwine which is a huge plus to me! The food took a bit long to come out, but I didn't mind; You could tell everything was being made to order. The place itself is clean and well-kept. The music is perfect for the setting, though I think I heard the same three songs during my stay, haha. That being said I'd love to come on a bit of a busier night to see other people enjoying their food. I do want to come again to try the calamari and pizza. Definitely worth a try, especially with fewer and fewer Italian places popping up...
Read moreWe have been to Sal's on 5 occasions, 2 were take- out. ( great experience) Out of the 3 dine - in experiences we've had the same waitress, Lindsey. She appears to be a nice young lady.. but DEFINITELY under the influence of something! Our last visit was awful! After taking our order of mozzarella sticks, pasta fagioli soup and a large pepperoni pizza, she proceeded to the point of sale system to ring our order up, you could just tell by her dozing facial expressions that she was lost and had forgotten what we just ask for... Sure enough, she did! Lindsey disappeared for about 15 minutes... we never got our appetizer and a co worker finally brought out a GREEN PEPPER PIZZA and a SPINACH SOUP!!!! Lindsey finally reappears in from the side door looking more confused than she was when we got there! Its sad seeing people that allow a substance to control them! I know staffing issues are a concern these days...But from a business prospective this will RUIN a business!... she or anyone else under the influence is a liability! You lost our...
Read moreWe started going here when Mama's closed in town. We knew Sal from there, but didn't realize he'd opened his own place. We LOVE Sal's. I'm from NY, and Sal's is on point!!! Sal always makes sure to greet us and spend a minute catching up. At this point he knows the entire family quite well! We have never had bad food or bad service there, and it is our go-to pizza joint. We tried others before we found Sal's, and to a one, they were all subpar. Some were downright gross. Never mess with a New Yorker about pizza. We know our pizza lol and we are rabidly loyal to good pizza and good service. Sal's is clean, the service is great, and the pizza is perfect!!! The prices are about average for an Italian eatery, and better than a certain large chain. Definitely prefer the personal...
