I have been a loyal customer for over 12 years. Never had a bad dinner experience from JB Alberto’s until today. I purchased an Italian beet and fries. Got the sandwich and fries home. The meat was extremely tough. The fries were extremely greasy. I didn’t finish either- then around one in the morning I’m awakened because I had to puke up the grease. I went to the restaurant calmly and kindly to report this to Pascale the manager. He came came to me and had me go to his office which was right off the kitchen. Very strange thing to do around food. Exposed food everywhere. I even asked him if it was a good idea to have me back there without a mask or anything to protect their food. He said no. I think he brought me to his office because he knew he-was going to treat me like I was a liar- because he did. He instantly became accusatory and he took it down a road where it should not have gone.I tried telling him what happened and already he’s cutting me off like wow. I told him I wasn’t seeking a refund I told him he should know I got sick. He told me next time go to the doctor so I told him I didn’t come for my money back - foolish of me. He then went on to tell me none of his customers ever got sick from their food. I told him there’s a first time for everything. Mind you I’ve been a loyal customer for years. So I told him I see where you’re taking this and I walked through their kitchen past exposed food on out the door. UPDATE 11/8/24. I just came across my own review months later only to discover the owners response. The owners response is misleading and untruthful. Nothing was resolved at the time and I have not set foot in their store since the incident. The owner called me after I had to do some internet research to find him through LinkedIn. The owner accused me of not washing my hands before I ate the Italian Beef sandwich. He offered another sandwich only if I removed the reviews you folks can see I have not removed it because I’m not going to lie for his business after being insulted by both the owner and the manager. Again his...

11/2024 Nope after more than 50 years I won't be ordering again. The last 4 orders were wrong. Something missing, the wrong order. The wrong item. I'm convinced they do not understand the English language. It's fine, but I'm not paying for the constant errors. Consider Dengeos or Gigios Evanston. You should expect what you order.. It's not free. Order at your own risk. I'm out.

I've been ordering and coming to this place since 1975. My entire adult life I've ordered at least once a month with only a few years when I've moved out of the area. Unfortunately, lately, I've been disappointed in my orders. It's rare for me to order less than 50.00 I always tip. Here's what happen.. I have never ordered fried chicken from them ever unless I had barbecue sauce on it or normally it's barbecue chicken. Today I got fried chicken.. then it got worse, I ordered Italian beef dipped sweet peppers only. That is not what I got. I got only hot peppers and hot pepper sauce. If you like Italian beef you know my disappointment. It doesn't look like they read the tickets anymore. So I think I order only 1 or 2 things going forward. Bigger orders don't seem to get the attention that makes them accurate. It's too bad, I really liked this place open to suggestions for replacement 08/2023 - sometimes you just have to tell a business and they turn it around immediately. That is the case here. I hope everyone has had the good service I've had since letting them know. Back to their...

I placed an order for delivery and the young girl, Adrianna, thought I said 'Pick Up.' She asked for my phone number instead. She never asked for my card number nor address.

I called right back because obviously something was wrong.

And I said I wanted to give her my card info and make sure the address was right.

She gave me so much sass and attitude that it was beyond me how she would even have the opportunity to work at the front end/over the phone.

It got to the point that she was cutting me off when I wanted to give her my card info and address! She said she asked me twice if I wanted Pick Up and that I said Yes.

I DID NOT.

She could've handled it professionally by granting me my request to speak to her manager which she put me on hold, a man answered then she picked up and said the manager is not available....lying. And she even changed her name to "Leslie" over the phone as well. But it's the same voice.

I've NEVER had this experience before from Alberto's out of all the times I've ordered from you all.

Talk to Adrianna and tell her to be more friendly, professional and courteous to all her customers. Act like an adult not a child.

UPDATE: My Receipt says the cashier...

Ok America Let's get something straight about Chicago pizza... Yes we are famous for deep dish and stuffed pizza however however that's a tourist thing Where you go to the restaurant and order a deep dish pizza. With your grandparents from out of town.... Every neighborhood has a local pizza spot with thin crust pizza that can stand tall next to any new york thin crust pizza... Nobody is ordering deep dish or stuffed because it doesn't deliver well.. Not to mention the time is longer for delivery..... Sorry Lumanati's and Geirdanos.... But your secret is out. When i'm at my work in Rogers park I order from JB Alberto's cracker thin crust as you can see

We are visiting from Denver and stayed in a hotel nearby. We were looking for a good pizza place and after looking at reviews we went with J.B Alberto’s. Delivery was less than an hour and the driver let us know he arrived. I ordered 2 20” pizzas thinking in terms of the big box pizza places. I was absolutely blown away! The pizza was massive! To top it all off, this is the best pizza I’ve had in recent memory. My mother in law who grew up in New York approved and was very impressed as well. We are going to make this our go to when in Chicago!
