I’ve been ordering from this place for 5 years straight. This is one of the best Mediterranean food spots in the city, and I’ve tried a lot of them. It’s a small family-run business where the owner truly cares about the customers. The portions are always good, prices are very low for the quality you are getting, and the taste will hit the spot every time. I rarely leave the reviews, but today Milo’s Pita did something that would leave even Michelin star restaurants twiddling their thumbs from not being able to match this level of care for the customer. I ordered food on Grubhub, waited an hour and the Grubhub driver called me lying that the place is closed. I immediately got a call from Milo’s saying that they’re not closed and the driver is trying to pull some scam on us. Milo’s took it upon themselves to deliver food to me because they didn’t want me to be hungry tonight after waiting for an hour. The owner (Milo) delivered the whole order by himself within 10 minutes. Grubhub, being Grubhub, just canceled the order, meaning that Milo’s wouldn’t receive any payment for the order. I still wanted to pay for the food and delivery, since Milo provided outstanding customer service experience. He refused to take any payment, any tip or anything else other than my continuous trust in him. He said that our loyalty to his restaurant matters the most and it’s not about money - it’s just about doing what’s right for the customer. After this no one would ever convince me that anybody else deserves my business more that Milo’s. Support your local small business owner - order from this place and it will never leave you disappointed. It has never left me disappointed in all 5 years, and even if there is some kind of mistake - they will do everything possible to correct it even if it’s not...
Read moreI live around the corner and was excited to try a new spot in the hood. If you're familiar with the area, you know things don't stick around long and we could use some tasty diverse food!
I am originally from Dearborn, Michigan where we have the largest middle Eastern population outside the Middle East. Basically what I am trying to say is I am picky, so picky about middle Eastern food, I tend to avoid it even though I LOVE it so much, because it's never quite as good as the food from home.
I was shocked by how good it all was. Flavorful, made fresh to order, authentic, large portions, good prices, delicious! Could you want more? We ordered the chicken taj shawarma, fattoush salad, falafel, baba gannoush & garlic sauce (is a must!) The sandwich came with fries which are always welcomed, traditional pickles and a few sauces (thin & hot sauce). The marinade on the chicken was so so flavorful! I am not going to lie, this might be the best Lebanese food I've had in Chicago in ages.
Everyone who worked there were super sweet and accommodating. I highly suggest supporting this business so it will stick around! I am very excited to try this again and have a great option within walking distance. It isn't much to look at from the outside, but it is well worth checking...
Read moreOwner here is a dishonest person. I would request an itemized bill when ordering from here.
I walked in this weekend to order a snack Sat night. After placing my order with the owner, I tapped my card and he did not give me a receipt, and I got a funny feeling, so I asked for one. He obliged and said he emailed it via the POS system. I checked my phone, and the receipt on there just had the total, so I asked for the itemized bill.
On the itemized bill, I discovered that the owner charged me twice for an item that I only wanted one of. No wonder why he did not try to give me a receipt, and when requested, a vague one at that. It's dishonest to not give someone a clear receipt and then try to hide the overcharge, only to be exposed when the customer starts digging further. This place was dead empty on a Saturday night. It's sad that the owner has to resort to cheating customers...
