March 26th, 2025 Had a nice dine in experience first visit here. I was in the mood for some seafood and decided to venture out a little further than I normally do. Originally I came after seeing a pictured dish that a past customer posted here on Google. Google is my go-to when looking for anything. Unfortunately, my waitress (Gracie) informed me that the menu had some changes and one of those changes was the shrimp scampi dish that had caught my attention resulting in me getting an Uber to try it for myself. Needless to say I had to adjust my initial purpose and decided after browsing the large menu options to opt for a cup of seafood chowder as my starter and order the seafood fettuccine swapping out the marinara for the alfredo sauce and adding a side of (minimum size available) 2lbs of steamed crab legs. Everything I ordered was delicious, especially that seafood chowder. The crablegs however were little overcooked, dry and wouldn't seperate from the shell w/ out much effort but was tasty in flavor and after the above and beyond customer service I received, I chose to just accept it and not bring it to the kitchen attention. However I did mention it (as a courtesy fyi) to my waitress after completing my meal when she asked how was everything. To give you a picture of why I chose not to address it... The pasta meal first came to me more like lukewarm than what I'm accustomed to in temperature. But after informing my waitress w/ no questions asked she took it immediately back to the kitchen after I asked if we could possibly just heat it up. The working chef and kitchen staff took it upon themselves to graciously make me a brand new plate. It was such a pleasant and unexpected surprise when my waitress brought it out to me. I'm so grateful. So I overlooked the overcooked but flavorful crablegs. To complete a beautiful meal I chose to top it off w/ a little dessert. All-in-all great experience. Awesome customer care and service from everyone from the hostess, to the waitresses, kitchen staff and chef(s). I look forward to future dinning here trying other menu items and getting a big bowl of the creamy, flavorful, warm and comforting seafood chowder that I demolished lol. I highly recommend all who appreciate great food, services, ambiance and taste to stop by and have your own experience to...
Read moreDinner for 3 was $110.00. This included 2 very yummy appetizer's (however, we had to change one appetizer because they were out of smoked salmon), 1 sirloin steak dinner ($30.00). My husband had to ask for addt'l salt and pepper, and he NEVER has to ask for addt'l salt and pepper, the steak was slightly overcooked, the garlic mashed potatoes were dry (kinda flaky) so he asked for butter so that he could moisten them.
I ordered the grilled scallops and jumbo shrimp ($26,00). They were out of the larger scallops so I was offered the option to include more shrimp to make up for it, which I did. I initially received 2 grilled shrimp and had to ask the waitress if the dish normally comes with one shrimp. She stated I should have rec'd more shrimp and she returned with an addt'l 2 shrimp. I paid $26.00 for 4 jumbo shrimp and rice (the rice is supposed to be jasmine rice, but I use only jasmine rice at home and I don't believe it was jasmine) because the tiny 10 scallops I received had no flavor so they were just part of the rice, really. I will say that the jumbo shrimp had a very yummy grilled/seasoned flavor and were the only redeeming quality.
My son, 17, ordered Seafood Risotto ($19.00). It was flavorless. The seafood was cooked in with the risotto so there was no flavor in the seafood as well. He sent it back and it was returned with parmesan cheese, butter and pepper (as well as we could tell) and the flavor was improved, but my son just ate the seafood out of it and left the rest on the plate.
The waitress was very friendly and proficient. I wish I could have taken the $110.00 and put it in her pocket because she was the only one who earned it this night
Will not return and would not recommend. Your money is better spent...
Read moreWent here a few weeks ago after not having been in quite a number of years. I remember not being super impressed last time I was here, but the wife wanted to go here for a small christmas get-together with some friends so we went for their Sunday brunch.
Service was pretty good. The guy seemed a bit new (either to Crabby's or to waiting in general) but was overall a nice guy and good waiter. So, the service wasn't really an issue.
The food, though...meh. I ordered the eggs benedict that come on top of their crab cakes and my wife ordered the lobster omelet. Both were terribly lacking in salt and general seasoning. The egg was cooked very well, but the crab cakes themselves were mediocre. My friend that was there with us also ordered the crab cake eggs benedict, but his eggs were severely overcooked. Like, to the point of basically being a hard-boiled egg. They replaced his dish pretty quickly, but he had the same issues with salt and general seasoning on everything. They also put a sauce under the english muffin that basically makes the muffin super soggy when coupled with the egg and cake on the top.The crispy potatoes that come with the dish were very good and about the only thing enjoyable about the dish.
Overall, I probably wouldn't go and spend the kind of money they are asking for here again given the products we received. I would suggest anyone wanting some good seafood to check out either Bonefish Grill or Fish City Grill. If you want something more local that is beyond amazing try Cafe Rue Orleans in Fayetteville. Amazing cajun seafood that will...
