The restaurant itself is overall clean and the food is usually always kept being replaced with newer, fresh, and hot portions.
The low score is actually because of our waitress, Stormy. We checked the hours of closing before visiting and we had over 2 hours left before they closed.
We get there and was greeted right off the bat by her. We got our food and continued as we normally would. Right off the bat, Stormy was talking very loudly by us near other waitresses talking about how she couldn’t wait to get out of there for the night and leave the rest of the waitresses ‘there with the bugs.’ I immediately felt disgusted by this comment. By I just started to eat my dinner so I had to shrug it off and just continue to eat. The waitresses asked if she should make another pot of coffee. Stormy quickly said ‘No! Not if we don’t have to. I’m trying to get out of here.’ The restaurant closed a little less than two hours from them point and I was looking forward to having a piece of pie and coffee at the end of my meal, but decided against it.
At this point in the meal, my drink was empty and so was my wife’s. She came and asked what we were drinking. When she came back with our drinks, she had an extra third cup for us to pour into our cups and split. My guess is so she didn’t have to worry about refilling our drinks as she sat at the table behind us and chomped down on food from the buffet. At the table she started to discuss very personal things with one of the employees and talk about how her boyfriends ex-wife was cheating on him and took everything he had or something along the lines. My wife and I were speechless just looking at each other trying to enjoy our meal.
Stormy continued to keep these things up and making sure that she kept mentioning how she couldn’t wait to get out of there so she can go drinking and look at Christmas lights. My wife and I were the only one in her section and very clearly understood that it was directed to us and thought that we should go ahead and finish dinner early since we were keeping her an hour and half before they closed.
It would be a lot different if it was near closing time. But it absolutely wasn’t. This was a very trashy and disappointing dinner my wife and I shared before a long week of work ahead of us.

Read moreAs someone who frequents Golden Corral, especially on weekends and occasionally during weekday lunches, it’s disappointing to share that my recent experiences have fallen short of the standards I’ve come to expect.
On Today, Saturday April 26, I observed an employee named Lilly mishandle the food service in a way that concerned me. After waiting a while for fresh eggs to be brought out, I watched as she placed old, cold, crusty eggs directly on top of the freshly prepared eggs. Recognizing this as a clear food safety issue, I politely informed her that this wasn’t appropriate. Unfortunately, her response was dismissive, accompanied by an eye roll and a sarcastic apology before she walked away, speaking rudely about the situation to another employee in her native language.
This experience was particularly frustrating because it wasn’t an isolated incident. Over the past few visits, I’ve noticed a pattern of poor service: delays in replenishing food items, inattentiveness from staff, and a lack of proactive management of the buffet. Often, multiple employees are gathered in the back conversing instead of monitoring the food bar. Guests are frequently left to ask whether certain items will be restocked, and when questions are raised, they are sometimes met with attitude rather than helpfulness.
To be fair, there are a few employees who are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely enhance the dining experience. However, encounters like the one with Lilly have unfortunately overshadowed those positives, making it difficult to overlook the broader issues.
It’s worth noting that placing cold food on top of hot, freshly prepared items is a food safety violation, and the attitude displayed when it was brought to attention is unacceptable for any dining establishment—especially one that prides itself on family values and customer service.
As a proud service member, I continue to support Golden Corral for its initiatives to honor veterans like myself. However, I felt it was necessary to voice my concerns in hopes of encouraging improvements. Should management wish to discuss my experience further, I am more than willing to provide additional details.

All the waitstaff was excellent, but she really made our stay awesome!!!! THE food was really great! One thing.... CUSTOMERS USE THE DARN GLOVES! We are all trying to protect each other from all these diseases and viruses, but the women... grown women decided not to use gloves and they kept using their hands to put things back after they decided not to take the food. I spoke with one of the staff and they said they couldn't do anything about it. Maybe make a sign... if you will not use the gloves provided, then no food! I'm not the only one who would love to scream at people who are careless about what the world is struggling with. I'm sick of COVID too, but this is respect! If I could have gotten names, I would post it for the world to see! So very disappointed with people having NO RESPECT for others!! The restaurant is spotless! The bathrooms are so clean!! Such a pleasure! The girls took all their bowls of food and replaced them promptly so don't worry folks..... the staff are on the ball with so many disrespectful people coming into this really nice place!
