Absolutely incompetent company. I moved to the area recently and chose to receive internet from Cox. Since that phone call I’ve had nothing but problems. Initially I was told that I could hook up my internet using my own equipment - this proved to be false. The coax cable was cut and disconnected so providing Internet would be impossible. The service technician wasn’t available for a week and was not only rude but barely completed the job; and left before even checking to see if I was satisfied with the work. A bare cable was left on my yard and I had to call the technician back to inquire why the cable was left draped across my yard. I was told that a “bury order” was scheduled for an indiscriminate date and time. At a later date the technicians that were tasked with burying my cable showed up unannounced, destroyed my extra parking space, and disconnected my coax cable. When I called to inquire about the people that destroyed my yard I was lied to by the first customer support rep who told me they would resolve the issue same day. After the business day ended and no one had shown up I called for a second time. I was lied to again by the next customer support rep who told me that the first one did not setup a “service order” and they would do that for me. Instead all the second service rep did was start a “damage request” and told me that a different representative with the business department would contact me. After 24hrs from the damage being done and still no contact I had to call again. This time I spoke to a supervisor who would only admit to “alleged damage” and an “alleged interrupted service”. They also threatened to hang up on me for using their own psychological tactics back on them. I’m now sitting with no internet and a destroyed gravel parking area. I wasn’t even offered any compensation for my trouble with the company until a service technician could confirm my “alleged...
Read moreTheir service has been horrible. 4 people in the store but only 2 actually working. The staff are slow, and unpleasant. I had asked for a confirmation of equipment return due to issues I've had with cox not registering the return. They (tech #147) told me they would email me. I said I would wait, and he said it could take days. I asked then for a receipt, he said he couldn't do that. He then asked me to stop raising my voice, although my tone may have been curt, it was not elevated. I then provided him an example of an elevated voice. He said if I would just listen to him. So I did. He said the same thing again, but showed me his computer screen. I asked for a printout, he said he couldn't do that. So I asked I could take a picture of the screen. He said yes. So I did. Then the 4th person who was doing nothing came out and said 'uhh you can't do that' I advised I already did, and left. I am so glad I no longer have to use their services. They never make top speed, even with only one single device connected directly the most I ever got was 500mbps after paying extra for 1gbps and you also have to still pay for bandwidth /Download limits in 2025. So I have to pay an extra 50 bucks a month to get unlimited. Don't use cox, and if you have to go to an office - do yourself a favor and don't go to...
Read moreCox is the most "downtime" service I've ever experienced for a hardline home service. We lost internet about 3 times a week and sometimes for the entire day. I work from home about once a week and can't be dependent on this! And the customer service response is awful to said issues. Moreso, the price is ridiculous gouging! We went from $40-ish to $100 with no warning because "your promo period ended" (we weren't ever told we were on a promo). Also, when we originally got the equipment, they tell you NOTHING, just hand you some equipment with a good luck... how am I supposed to know where to plug in? I don't know which coax cable in which room is actually tied to their line! It was very frustrating to say the least. Only positive was dropping the equipment back off at this location (this was not where we picked it up 3 years ago). The drop off was smooth and effortless and they had a pretty busy drop off afternoon but went through people quick enough. Sadly, Cox is about all you have in NWA which is garbage because this area is supposedly so tech focused and growing! Otherwise you take chances with something like T-mob wifi which is spotty at best as well. We need...
