This was my first time ever at a whataburger and likely my last. I went by this morning at about 5AM, happy to see a place open. When I went in there was noone at the counter and a customer sitting off in the lobby. I was about to leave when someone came around the corner to take my order. I ordered a chicken honey butter biscuit, asked a few questions about the menu and headed off.
When I got to work, I found I had a hard biscuit that appeared to just have honey poured on top of it. The biscuit was hard. The chicken strip was hard and if there was butter it was melted.
This was in no way what I expected. I see you guys are fairly well reviewed but based on the customer service and food I received I don't see how you earned that rating.
Please do not respond back with how much you value my feedback, how you will use it to improve service and such. The canned comments like that are a disgrace to your customer as it shouldn't take such feedback to get a company to do the right thing the first time.
Update - 08/07/2019 - Gave them another chance - MUCH better customer service this time but even when making my food "fresh" it came out cold and the biscuits were crispy. I was told them that I had a survey and they were doing a special where I could get a burger, fries and a drink if I completed it. I did and then when I went back to redeem it I was told that was wrong and that now I had to pay. I guess I fell for their bait and switch tacit, needless to say I let them keep it and walked out. My entire family LOVES Whataburger. I was traveling home with my three children and got in the drive thru line. The inside lobby was closed, so you had no choice but to use the drive thru. I orsered quite a bit of food, as I was surprising family at home with Whataburger(burgers only). I also ordered three kids meals. Spent over $50. The wait was a bit long, but no big deal. We got our food and pulled away. As I was getting gas, all three kids complained that their burgers were wrong, and one kid was missing a cookie. I had to go back through the drive thru to get it corrected. They did fix it, and the manager handed me a survey for a free burger. I should have looked through the rest of the bags to make sure everything was right, as I know the manager would have fixed those as well. I didn't, and that's my mistake. I got home and realized that we were missing two burgers that I paid for, and the burgers that we did have were made incorrectly. I was a bit disappointed. I assumed my order would be correct, but I should have checked.

We ordered our food and sat down and watched at least 3 other people come in after us get their order right away and we were still waiting! My husband was upset. He went up to one of the guys delivering the food and told him the situation and wanted our food. Then, he went to the counter and spoke with the manager and just wanted our money back. She did apologize and kept saying we want to keep you as a repeat customer and they are working on your order but he was too upset over the fact he was hungry and it just wasn't good business.
