Traveling through, small little old fashioned looking diner. Got there about 11:30 pm and only 1 person in restaurant. Waitress was cleaning and wiping down things. Got seated and waitress got our drink order. The waitress we had wasn't very personable and her speed was definitely not fast but she nice and took our order. Shortly after the restaurant started to get full. There was only 1 cook which made getting orders a lot longer. Food was good but a little different. We got the fried chicken dinner that is tenders. The tenders were tender and flavorful, a little to salty for me but I don't normally salt things. Mashed potatoes were good and the pinto beans were good but almost had a vinegar twang to them. The cornbread was huge but a little crumbly. The salad I thought was a side salad was huge with lots of vegetables in it. Found out was charged as a full house salad. Salad needs to be dried a little as lettuce was a little wet and was watered down the dressing quick. You can tell there is definitely a tension between our waitress and the cook but was maintained well. So while something's can be improved, I would definitely go back and give it a try again and get something else or maybe do breakfast instead of late night dinner. The table next to me had a corned beef sandwich and fries and it was huge and the plate was full and looked amazing. So maybe next time I will try that.

My husband and I went in after fishing, we both ordered plates and an appetizer. As we are waiting the waitress accidentally dropped a couple cups of stuff and proceeded to pick it up off the floor. Wet drinks off the dirty floor. She didn't wash her hands after and proceeded to hand customers their food. When our appetizer came out of kitchen I watched her pick something out of our food with her dirty fingers, throw out whatever was in our food and bring it to us. While eating, we needed napkins, condiments and refills and we had to get up ourself for the napkins and condiments. Did not get refills when needed. I basically had to choke down my food.... I wouldn't touch most of my meal, as the potatoes smelled and tasted so bad I gaged on them. Smelled like a dirty diaper. Pee pee smell... Maybe burnt boxed potatoes? Picture included. My ham was cold but I ate it as it tasted alright and I was starving. My husband's plate was okay, fries were okay and he said his sandwich was just okay. Most of our food was left on the table and NORMALLY we take out leftovers. I feel like I should watch out if I'll be sick in the next couple days. Waiters were nice but inattentive, and and food was pretty awful, food safety at risk from no hand washing. We have been here several times and will not be back may have been better off putting our 40$ in the trash and walking out.

We were traveling through Roger's and stopped in Bass Pro for a look around. We asked Kaitlin (lady running the register) for suggestions on the best home cooked restaurant in town. She said that we needed to visit Lucy's diner. So, we went there. Kat was our waitress and probably one of the best we have had the pleasure of meeting. She was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We asked several questions about the menu and what was "made from scratch" and what was brought in. She could not think of anything that was not made right there. Excellent!!! We ordered the fired green tomatoes to start with. Awesomeness. Then for the main course the 5 of us ordered the meatloaf, open faced roast beef sandwich, hamburger steak smothered in onions, philly steak sandwich and the grilled chicken salad. All items were just as good as homemade. No complaints at all. We will for sure stop back by on our way through again. Kat was awesome food was fabulous and more than we could eat, restuarant was clean. Heck, even the restrooms were clean.

Where to begin? When we travel we like to find the places that have the best bang for the buck. We look for where the locals go. We drove over 1600 miles to ride mountain bikes in Bentonville and were tipped off by a nice lady who lives in the area that Lucy's was a great bang for buck and the place to hit if you're into diner food. We had just gotten into town and needed to grab some lunch. After a little searching we found Lucy's. The lot was full and inside was hopin' as we were debating weather to give the place a shot. Then we caught a glimpse of neon red hair. Between the crowded lot and the fact that they have servers with interesting hair, we were decided to try it out. All I can say is "Wow." We ate out 6 times while we were there. 5 of them were at Lucy's and it would have been 6 if we were closer that one time. The food is great! The portions are insane and the vibe is exactly what we like. The Service was excellent and the atmosphere was casual but more professional than most place we have here at home and anywhere on our trip. All of our servers were super friendly and helpful but we got Jasmine and Joan (had the red hair that suckered me in) most often. They were great! Seriously part of the reason we kept going back was because of them! Long story short, the food is great. The atmosphere is great. The service is great. Even the customers were friendly and engaging. We came there to ride our bikes and we had an amazing time but eating at Lucy's is one of the experiences that I think of the most on that trip. ...

I have been going to Lucy's for along time and have always had great service and great food but tonight was a very big disappointment. I am not sure what happened to the people they had in there tonight but the server had to be on something drug related or lack of. I can understand burning one idem of the order but not all of it.Even if it was one thing burnt I would have taken the time and and cooked it again instead of just thinking that's OK to serve to someone. What I want management to know is this is the best way to ruin everything you have worked so hard to accomplish. I have told alot of people how good that Lucy's diner is and now I am thinking I am so wrong. It will be awhile before I go there again after tonight.I should have turned around and walk out after seeing my plate of food. One guy did change his mind when he came In he was hungery because I herd him say so but for some reason he changed his mind and said to the server that he wasn't as hungery as he thought he was and just ordered coffee. He left as soon as the cup of coffee got there without even taking a drink of it.It could have been because the server set down at his table wobbling around like her head was about to fall off. Now I don't make fun of anyone or say negative thinks about people so I will try to say something positive about the server , You positively need to get help and please wear dentures so people can understand so people can understand what...
