This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Wyndham property. Upon checking into our room we were hit with a mixture of odors that we could only describe as cat urine and mold. It was terrible. We turned the air on hoping it would disperse some of it. The air didn't work the best and it didn't help at all with the odor. We decided to go get dinner and see if it was better when we got back. (the location seemed a little shady for a few women traveling together) while we were out we did stop to get a few items to help with the smell as instructed to do so by the front desk. It did not help. We did however find a yellow car tree hanging from the back of our tv, not sure if it was placed by management or previous tennants but that didn't help either. Two people in our party were experiencing major allergy issues and we asked if there was another room despite the very busy weekend. We were shown a smoking room. We don't smoke and it only had 1 bed, we needed 2. There was a pretty heavy smoke smell in the hall as well. The other room had an odor stronger than the one we were in and it hit us in the hall before even going in. We had also been informed that despite 2 outside contractors being called in we had no hot water and they were waiting on another. We decided to leave since we had never un- packed and couldn't breathe. I would not reccommend this property unless there were some major changes made to management, maintenance and/or repairs. I did feel a bit sorry for the night front desk gal as she seemed to have been left to deal with all of these issues and angry...
Read moreDisappointing to say the least. Not at all comparable to the Wyndham family of hotels. Located behind a very sketchy looking 8th Street Motel, there is not enough parking. Good luck finding it in the first place. Cereal and orange juice for breakfast. Vending machine only takes cash. ATM out of service during our stay. The phone in our room didn't work. I only needed it to phone down to the desk to tell them the TV had stopped turning on. They advised me maintenance would be at our room in 15 minutes to address the issue. 1 hour later while I'm getting ready to go to an event (and after I had gotten the TV to turn on) maintenance shows up. I turned him away as I was busy getting ready to go, and never could get the volume to work. 1 loud volume on the TV for the rest of the stay. Windows on the second and third stories have no screens. There was a nice Arkansas morning breeze to be had, but I would hate to let bugs into the clean rooms. The bed and bathroom were...
Read moreSurprisingly a very nice little hotel for the price. I think I payed about $65 after taxes and fees. They are in the middle of renovation, so the stairwells are filthy, unfinished, and have trash in them. That said, although my room is small it is very clean and nice. It's actually the second room I was given because the first one I was directed to wear bring worked on. The lady at the desk was very polite, apologized, and quickly fixed the issue.
Not sure what everyone else is saying about not having a fridge or microwave because mine does. It also has a window seat and a wardrobe.
One complaint I do have is the lack of outlets by the bed. There is one on the wall a couple of feet away and another under the TV. I happened to have power strip with a long cable on me so it worked out. Also, next door is a pretty run down drug type of hotel and there isn't much parking...
All in all, I've paid more for worse hotels....
