We were invited to celebrate our daughter in-law's 21st birthday here. We were excited to try this new place. We had major miscommunication! Our daughter inlaw called to ask about reserving a room because she wasn't sure how many would attend the dinner. She talked to two different representatives; one male, one female and she explained that there may be 15-20 people. They offered her a room with a contract. The female representative explained that the contract stated 25-30 people or $2500 spent all together. However when my daughter inlaw explained she wasn't sure if she would have that many people the representative told her that the 15-20 would cover the $2500. We get to the restaurant and order our drinks and appetizers: a. One drink was made incorrectly and they were completely out of kettle one vodka (the waitress/hostess said they had been out all week) so someone had to order a different drink because they were out. b. Two of our appetizers were wrong, although they brought the correct appetizers out, they were 20-30 min after the first set of appetizers. (They did comp the two incorrect appetizers) c. It took nearly two hours to get out food. The food took 2 hours to get to our table. Before we were even offered dessert the waitress/hostess explains in front of everyone that my daughter inlaw did not meet the the $2500 quota and was short and wanted to know how it should be handled. ($650 +/- is what had been spent on food and drinks) We were told we had to make up the difference because of the contract. Finally the female representative who claims to have spoken to our daughter inlaw comes in to explain the contract. We were told the deposit was waived buy because we didn't meet the $2500 we were going to have to pay the difference. We tried reasoning with her explaining that our daughter inlaw was told that her party would cover the quota, the representative argued that she never said that. We were told they would write off $500 and for the remaining we would need to pay but that we could get food to go. ($1600 in cooked food to go?! Not if it is going to take another 2 or more hours) We suggested purchasing raw steaks as an option. They finally agreed and gave us 20 raw steaks to take home, not free of course. We were still $200 +/- short. They claimed they would "write that off". Don't forget the gratuity that was already included in the bill. Just our bill alone ww paid around $200 in gratuity.
Very disappointed in the whole experience! 😕 And to add to all the stress and embarrassment caused, our daughter inlaw no longer wanted to celebrate so we didn't even do her cake because we were too busy figuring out how to take care of this quota. Our daughter inlaw was in tears! We won't be back! These contracts are ridiculous and completely...
Read moreJust want to start off with saying we are Landry's members. Most people will go out of their way to do a bad review I wanted to go out of my way to do an excellent review! I just really want to mention several of the managers Kyle is the bar manager I believe is his title but the gentleman is all over the restaurant I go during lunch probably once a week my wife and I go to dinner at least every other Friday night. He has such a fantastic attitude always has a smile on you can really tell he appreciates his job and career. Bristen is another manager i wanted to mention. She has such a wonderful presence you can see easily she cares about the customers and frequently visits tables to check on the food and service, there hasn't been one night that she hasn't at least dropped by just to say hello. We typically ask for the same server her name is Madeline I think that young lady will go far in your company she is beyond outstanding service is out of this world. We are so fortunate to have such great people that is our go-to place. But I just wanted to mention the entire team no matter who the server is, Even the people who deliver the food always polite with a smil. . It's always correct I don't know how you do it but these managers have such a great team. We will be long-term patrons I almost hate to say too many good things because we selfishly don't want to lose them. But these people are extremely rare and you are very fortunate to have them. Certainly not last the General Manager Oscar Oseguera has been the backbone since day one if my memory is correct? He is always very polite and courteous but you can tell that man is busy he's always on the go but he does take time out on the floor checks on everything as well I'm just totally impressed with your company... i understand the Regional Mgr is a gentleman named Todd. I would really like to meet him shake his hand! Job well done! and I really hope people at corporate give these people some recognition because they are true standouts we frequent a lot of restaurants I bet I've only done probably one other review. But I just wanted to spend the time to say thank you to Bristen and Kyle and Madeline!! I apologize I cannot remember the bartenders but they are excellent the drinks are always consistent. I hope this reaches someone and I really hope these folks get the pat on the back for all the hard work and dedication that they do for this community as well as your restaurant. Rick and...
Read moreMy significant other and I came in on a Thursday around 12:30 pm and there weren’t very many cars in the parking lot which we were surprised about. We had heard good things about the food there from his co-workers so we had some high hopes since we were pretty hungry. We came and and noticed a manager in the waiting area conducting an interview with someone. So we waited at the desk for about seven minutes before we grabbed a menu from the desk to see what we’d like to order, we settled on our food and waited another 8 minutes before we decided we could just get food on the way out of Rogers to get more errands done. So we turned around and walked out, we understood that they may have been understaffed and just didn’t have the means to served us at the moment, but the manager got up and chased us out the door telling us that he called someone to come seat us and he was sorry about the wait, we informed him that we longer had the time to dine and he insisted that we come inside while he held the door open for us and offered us a free appetizer for our troubles, after my husband denied three times, he completely disregarded him and turned to me to ask if we’d like to come in, in that moment I knew I was done and told him that we’ve already told him no three time now and do not want to engage in this experience any further. He then respected our wishes and retreated inside while we walked away. Overall it wasn’t a great experience but I would definitely try it again under different management or at a...
