Heavenly Divine Cakes/Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Rolla

If I could give this company zero stars I would. I've been calling for over a month and a half asking for a wedding cake tasting appointment. The wedding isnt until October. Matt kept saying that his wife Shannon would get ahold of me, but she never did. I called 4 times and left my name and number with Matt, no response EVER. I do know that they were dealing with a death in their family, but that was still no reason to tell me Shannon would call and set up an appointment with me with no follow up calls at all. I just called again and Matt informed me that he doesn't know if this business will even be open by October, that's why his wife Shannon never returned my calls. Very unprofessional in my opinion. To anyone who is considering this business for their special day, whether it be a wedding, birthday or anniversary, PICK ANOTHER BUSINESS!!!!! The rudeness and blatant disrespect that I received from Matt was totally unacceptable.

I stopped by today (3/31/25) on a whim as I was passing through town from St. Robert to Steelville. My daughter’s 15th birthday is tomorrow and she waited until the last minute to say she’d like bakery cupcakes for her bday treat. I’m a principal on my way to a late night supervision so there was no time to make any. When I got to the store and opened the door there were 2 gentlemen inside working on some new displays. The apologized but said they were closed on Mondays. I said no problem then headed back to my car. Before I got to my car one of them came out and asked if I was looking for something specific. When I told him he explained that they did have some cupcakes, baked on Saturday, that if I wanted to buy he’d sell to me at a discount. He also let me try one (free) to check for freshness (they were very delicious). He then sold me the (bakers) dozen I needed and they were so kind and helpful. I had never even heard of this place before but with the customer service I received today, they will be getting future business from me as well as recommendations to friends! This is going on the second time now that I’ve called in and asked specific questions about my dietary needs, the people who’ve answered the call didn’t know enough about their products to answer, so I was told that the owner would call me back. I never received a call. I’m not sure if these people just don’t care about selling products to people that might have different dietary needs or they just are too busy that they don’t care about adding more clients, but it’s really discerning. I’m hopeful that they never need more business because they’ve turned a potential client away and I’m sure I’m not the only one, since I called two separate times. I’ve been asked if I know of anyone in the area for bakery goods in this area for catering/ parties etc. and I often tell them of my experience. I tell them if they want a cookie cutter basic order, perhaps they would be fine, but definitely not any...
