I am so glad Tako N Madres/K Brunch has opened up a physical location! It now allows me to eat their delicious food inside, where they have such a nice vibrant atmosphere. Bright colors, welcoming interior, great music, and lots of food, drink, and salsa/condiment options. I had started visiting Tako N Madres back when they were working on remodeling the building, and were still operating as their food truck in their new spot on weekends only, and once they finished the building remodel and opened up inside (with a specific brunch menu on weekends too), I have visited a handful of times for dine-in and carryout. It is delicious food, especially everything I've had for brunch so far with their new brunch menu. I've had their Skillet and Huevos Rancheros, both delicious! Eggs are cooked exactly as requested, salsas are packed with flavor, fresh avocado, and delicious seasoned potatoes. My wife loves getting their tres leches pancakes, and our toddler loves food from both our sweet and savory dishes. It's a great place to take our extended family for weekend brunch. Most of all I love their delicious drink options with huge generous portions. I will always get one of their different horchatas or agua frescas (especially the hibiscus). The hot chocolate and coffee is great as well. If you haven't stopped in for brunch or lunch/dinner, you are missing out! Great Mexican food, at great prices (especially the street tacos which...
Read moreABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Today was my first time visiting the place. Reunited with some previous coworkers. We loved the decor from the outside to the inside of the restaurant. It was absolutely adorable.
The Cashier/Waitress with the glasses was super sweet to us. Then another waitress who didn’t even bring us our food in the first place wanted to make sure we were doing great too.
This place brought me back my childhood memories of what I used to eat. I saw on their menu that they had Ceviche, ordered it, and loved it.
My fellow coworkers were shocked at how huge their Tortas were. You can definitely feed like four people with it.
WE WERE ALL SHOCKED HOW OUR HORCHATA DRINKS WERE SERVED TO US! it came in a large cup with smeared chocolate on the top edges of the cup. Delicious! Beautifully displayed for us. I was just expecting a regular plastic cup for the Horchata to be served to us.
And I just belly laughed when I saw the decor they had in the women’s restroom. Funny joke displayed. You have to go to see it ;-)
When I posted all of this on my Snapchat story, they all asked where was it located.
I recommend 100% of this place for you all. The money is worth it. You’ll love it. I’ll definitely will be coming back here to...
Read moreWe were on the hunt for tacos and stumbled upon this spot on Westport Rd. Right from the start, the decor caught our eye—everything was colorful and cute. The server at the counter greeted us warmly and was super friendly. We ordered the regular corn carne asada tacos, quesa carne asada tacos, and aguachile, with a mango juice to drink. The food arrived in about 10 minutes, and we helped ourselves to salsa at the self-serve bar while we waited.
The mango juice was deliciously sweet and refreshing! It didn’t have an artificial taste at all; instead, it was super fresh with real mango chunks. The cup was even lined with Tajín, adding an extra kick. The food was incredible! For a taco spot in Louisville, we were blown away, especially since we’ve tried authentic Mexican tacos in other countries—these were by far the best in town. Every bite was bursting with flavor and had a satisfying crunch. The birria consommé was rich, and the aguachile tasted fresh and tangy. We arrived around 8:45/9pm, and everything was still perfect! Highly recommend this place—it’s my new...
