The food was great, but what we ordered wasn't complete. So when my husband walked back to the counter the front cashier ARGUED with him. He had ordered for us both and I arrived as he was walking away from the counter back to the table. He was laughing...thats not a GOOD thing where my husband and food are concerned! I asked what was wrong and he informed me 5 pieces of fish he'd paid for wasn't there. So we carried the trays with food back to show her. She was very dismissive and immediately informed us the fish would be promptly brought to us as soon as it was cooked. However, we ate and as we ate one of the other employees came and apologized and asked if we'd gotten our food yet, John replied no and at that point we were almost done eating our meal so as soon as I finished eating I took the receipt and approached the counter and asked the same lady with receipt in hand if I could please have the five pieces of fish, so she asks, "You mean, No one has brought it to you? When I replied no she just passes the receipt off to another worker who passes it off to the lady in the cook area and the order was promptly filled. I informed her I was up there because my husband was very angry and she replied, Well I don't blame him..( this was the same woman who had been arguing with him he HAD received EVERYTHING he'd ordered)...not funny lady!!! Moral of the story here...ask promptly for the manager if the lady who takes your order is gray haired rather on the long side. There was no excuse to ARGUE with a customer who didn't receive food and it had to be asked for TWICE!! Good thing I arrived when I did or all he'll would've broken loose!! Not giving my husband what he asks for is NOT wise!! He's ALWAYS very polite but to ARGUE with him is like inviting the DEVIL into your living room, he takes his food VERY seriously. I wasn't present at this time however, I do know my husband, he's a gentle giant and IF he gets mad you really gotta be VERY RUDE to get him to THAT point...and he was THERE just as I walked in the door. He has let me know "We" will never eat there again. I'm extremely disappointed with the way my husband was treated and angry, I LOVE Captain D's but I'll have to agree with him. No one should be ARGUED with as a paying customer..EVER. But to be treated so disgracefully and have such a flippant attitude is appalling. My John is the sweetest man you could ever meet and I'm angry he was treated...
Read moreWe have been eating at Captain D's in Rome for MANY years. I am not sure what's changed with the leadership here, but something sure has. Over the last year, EVERY order we receive in the drive thru is wrong. This visit, they attempted to charge my wife $22 for a 3 piece fish, then proceeded to argue with her at the window when she brought it to her attention. Then, when she got the order home, it was wrong....again. Rather than the slaw she requested, they gave her a double order of ICE COLD AND STALE fries. But it get's better. She attempted to call and get the issue resolved and was told "THE MISTAKE HAS ALREADY HAPPENED,NOTHING WE CAN DO" by the young lady on the phone. When she asked to speak to the manager SHE WAS HUNG UP ON. So, she called back. This time she was told " Hop in your car and come back to pick up your slaw if you want it" My wife asked AGAIN to speak to a manager and was told "SHE IS NOT AVAILABLE" We live 30 min from CapDs. This happened at 8:30 at night. So the best resolution for this issue was for my wife to "HOP IN HER CAR AND COME PICK UP HER SLAW" ????? ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE AND THIS REFLECTS SOLELY ON THE LEADERSHIP TEAM FOR ALLOWING PEOPLE TO SPEAK TO AND TREAT CUSTOMERS IN...
Read moreOk, it's fast food, so you get the "service" you pay for. I went here with my elderly parents who paid for the meal. I ordered the salmon. The woman who took our order misunderstood what I asked for and placed an order for the Supreme something or other. So after waiting however long for the food to be cooked, I had to wait that long again for the right food to be cooked (fortunately she got my parents' order correct.) When I picked up the right food, I had to ask for the $3.## refund I was owed and when I did, I had to prove that the "Supreme" meal really was $3.## more than the grilled salmon meal. I had to do the math so she knew how much I should get back. Then I had to listen to her grumbling over how I was making her do extra work before finally getting the money back. I'm not sorry for insisting on a $3.## refund of my mom's social security money and I'm not sorry for asking you to do your...
