Krystal — Restaurant in Rome

We ordered our food from inside and the assistant manager took our order. My husband began to order 2 bowls of chili and the guy walks off and looks inside some type of container. Around 3 minutes later, he returns and proceeds to take our order. I ordered a cup of decaf coffee and he quickly replied, we don't have any. I then chose water as well as my husband. We find a seat and he brings our water out with tops on with no gloves on, gripping the top of the cups. As we were seated, we noticed, he was handling food without gloves. We did see the other employees with gloves on... should he not be setting the example and following guidelines? No doubt the health department would write that up. He placed the food on our tray and served it and I wonder if he touched the top of our food with his bare hands? I did not appreciate the fact that he used his hands to grip the tops of our drinks but at least, there were tops on them. If I had saw him handle our food with bare hands, I would have definitely brought that to his attention. This particular restaurant needs a tremendous amount of work and it needs to start with...

We recently moved to Rome and visited this location. The female working the counter at 2pm on 8/25/19 was extremely rude when I asked how much longer it would be for our food. The kids and I waited over 10 minutes for our food. It only consisted or 6 krystals and 4 Krystal chicks. Then when we got the food it was barely warm and the meat was on top of the burger inside the box. So much mustard the bun was soaked and glued to the side. Beyond ridiculous. Mind you they weren't even busy. Two ppl inside who already had thier food and 3 people in drive thru. I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again nor do I recommend it to anyone!!! Worst Krystals location I have ever been to. Corporate should consider them an embarrassment. For the owner who responds save the effort. I posted the reviews and pictures to Krystals Corporate, FB page, Trip Advisor and Google. Stood in lobby behind a couple waiting to order for 10 minutes but no one ever took our or their order. Cooks with long hair were not wearing hair nets. Went through the drive thru waited, after a few minutes we were greeted by “order when ready” but not in a friendly tone. Did not ask what we wanted to drink with our meals, did not give us our total, did not tell us to pull around. Cashier walked out right before we got to the window after she took our order. I guess the confusion of the day was too much for her. They took off their head sets and didn’t take anymore orders while we were there. There is a wasp nest close to the drive thru window. Finally gave us our drinks after waiting 15 minutes at the window, but did not give us straws. When we finally got our food after 25 minutes some of it was cold. The manager was polite and apologized for the situation. Based on this service, it is unlikely we will return. If we get a Krystal craving, we will seek another Krystal...
