I recently visited Green Tomato Buffet in Rome, GA, and I must say, it is hands down the best buffet in the county. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a cozy, inviting feel.

I don't know how people say this food is so good. I would've rather had a dry burger from McDonald's than this food. We were highly disappointed in the food today (Sunday). Some of the hot food options were cold (catfish nuggets, fried okra, mashed potatoes, ham) and the corn was sweet like they dumped sugar on it. All the vegetables tasted like they came straight from a can without any seasoning. The dressing was more of a finely ground stuffing and was goey, like paste. Mashed potatoes were instant ones. Macaroni tasted like buttered noddles with a 1/2 inch of cheese on top and the inside was cold. The salad bar was the only decent thing about the food today. The floors were were wet and slippery and our waitress acted like she was 1/2 asleep. If the food stays like this, we won't return. My boyfriend told the lady the meal was just okay and i asked him why he even gave it an okay rating, and he said that it was bc the Coke was delicious.
