West End Shopping Center — Local services in Rome

I went to school at west rome high school and I also went to west end.we lived 1block away from the school.i use to play in the creek.we all did.happy and had a ton of fun ,we would build a fort in the wisteria and decide how we were going to save the whales.i crossed the pipe which was in my grand parents back yard. I went to Johnny Reb.got ice cream at Chandler drugs and went to the dentist across the street then we all would meet under the pine trees after school .what a wonderful place.i remember the big ice cream above Kay's castle a little girl was on the cone ,it was a monument to the whole neighborhood. I remember my beagle would be able to sit in the middle of shorter ave. And scratch .no cars and my daddy would say on the way that when gas went over 50 cents we were going to church on bicycles.the smell of summer soon left and the big maple tree in my front yard turned red ,yellow and orange...
