Selman's Country Store — Restaurant in Rome

These nice folks make their own chocolates, and they are wonderful. They have a large variety of Georgia made jams and relishes, local honey, and homemade desserts and cassaroles. They also have a large separate room that used to be a dining room, and I was told that they rent that out for meetings and events. It is not a full service restaurant, although Google seems to think it is. Recently, Floyd Felines had a "pickers" sale in their large parking lot to benefit that worthy organization. If you've been driving by this place and meaning to stop and check it out, just do it! The staff are super friendly, the homemade chocolate is amazingly delicious, and they have tons of farm fresh produce and homemade salsas, jams and sauces not to mention the pies and casseroles I haven't had the chance to try yet. You will not be disappointed with this place!...
