Tako Loko & Tokyo — Restaurant in Roseland

I came by on Easter Sunday, they were one of the few restaurants open after my flight into South Bend so we decided to give it a try. The staff there were very warm and friendly, offering for us to try a sample of the daily special, which was chicken teriyaki with rice and a drink. The sample was delicious and we ordered three specials plus some crab rangoons. We ate in the restaurant and had a nice talk with one of the staff and overall it was a lovely experience. My buddy and I have driven past this place multiple times and we have been really curious as how in the heck do you serve Mexican food and Japanese food in the same place? The answer is pretty simple. There's a small Japanese menu and a small Mexican menu. We didn't have any appetizers this time because we weren't sure if we would like this place but there's plenty to choose from. Free chips and salsa for dine in and I don't know what they do to the chips but they are sooo good. For dinner, I had the beef teriyaki with fried rice and Robert had the chicken bowl. My son, his girlfriend, and I just came from eating here. I have got to say it was absolutely amazing!! Everything was made fresh from the corn chips, salsa witch you can have made as hot as you like. Even the guacamole is even spicy hot if you like it to be. I had the teriyaki chicken and fried rice. It came on a freshly sauté mixed vegetables. It was so delicious 😋 the service was amazing and the owners were so very nice and enjoyed talking to them!!
