I went in on Wednesday which happen to be cinco de Mayo. I was in line waiting to put my name down on the waitlist at 6:20. There were 3 groups in front of me. One had 3, the second had 4 and the other group had 8. My group had 11 total. I waited in line about 15 min at least to just put my name down. The hostess was barely at the front. She kept walking around doing whatever. Everybody was saying where is the hostess! Once it was my turn she said 45 min to an hr until it’s our turn. I went back home and made it back to the restaurant at 7:25 about the time that I was quoted. When I walked in the whole inside had new customers that were seated after me obviously. I asked her how much longer and she said we are next. We waited inside but she kept seating people inside and outside before us. She said we were a bigger party and they needed to get tables together. I said well couldn’t you guys have done that before seating all these smaller groups down before us? I said if you keep seating them down there will never be a table for us to combine! I asked to speak to a manager and she said he is busy and I insisted on speaking to her or him. She kept on giving me attitude and saying that if we have a problem with waiting then we don’t have to wait there and we can go somewhere else! Who says that? I am a paying customer and she should not be speaking to guest like that! I personally think that it was all her fault and she should of been on her A game when it came to who was first in line to be seated. So we waited some more about another 15 minutes. I grabbed a guy that works there, maybe a server. I asked if he was the manager and he said no. I explained to him what was going on. I ask for the many for a second time. Which I believe the hostess once again didn’t even go grab the manager. So the manager came after maybe 5 minutes of us waiting. He apologized and said they will get us a table and we still waiting for a while. I believe when we sat down it was close to 8:45pm. We had already looked at the menu and drinks and knew what we wanted exactly. Once we got seated the server didn’t come to our table until after 9pm. We placed the order and obviously wanted appetizers and drinks first. Well they did come but in shifts. Some got their drinks, some got their apps. The kids got their food which was I guess great that they got their food when we got the appetizers. The service was not so great. It really wasn’t the server’s fault but they were staffed properly. The manager I think did his best but the hostess was the one to blame hand down. Maybe train her on how to handle that type of crowd. She just wasn’t fair. How would you seat 15 other groups with 3-4 people and make us wait over 2 hrs! If I had waited in her to call I don’t think she would of called honestly! I probably would not recommend! The food was ok. It probably wasn’t the best because of how busy they were but still not an excuse! Don’t go there. Manager did try and I give him a star for trying but in general our experience wasn’t good at all. Train...
Read moreAfter being referred by a friend we were looking forward to our 1st experience here but experienced the worst dining experience in 30+ years.
Room Ambience/Temperature = Double Negative Zero If you like to wear your coat while dining then this is the place for you as there's a constant cold draft blowing through whole restaurant from the outdoor seating area door being constantly open.
Cleanliness = Triple Negative Zero Floors were disgusting W/leftover food, napkins & whatever else shuffling under our feet & under other tables. We can't speak for the bathrooms but can't imagine they are well tended to if the dining room was in the condition it was.
Service = Quadruple Negative Zero Hands down the worst service ever of dining out in 4 decades. Seat yourself then hope somebody sees you sat down only to be told we'll be with you in a few minutes (more like 10 minutes) & then gave us a menu! *Note: the place was maybe at 25% capacity. Then a different server returns & she takes our drink/dinner order. Drinks were 5-10 minutes then server did not return once to ask if we wanted a another drink or more chips & salsa even after placing the empty glass at the edge of the table. She only returned with our dinners 30+ minutes later! The wife's dinner arrived 1st ice cold & even at that point the server looked at the empty glass on the table & didn't ask if we wanted another drink, 5 minutes later my dinner arrived. We were literally seconds away from paying for our drinks & leaving.
Atmosphere - Been to dozens of real authentic Hispanic restaurants but nothing special here, "A" typical Mexican Restaurant done very poorly.
Food = 2 At best, but probably would have rated better had all of the above not been so awful.
Drinks = 4 The only good thing worth rating.
Overall save your $$$ there's many other much better Mexican restaurant establishments to support in the area. *As a side note we never rate dining or other experiences online but felt this was that bad we had to voice our displeasure. Definitely a one & done experience & we are praying we don't get food...
Read moreI made reservations here for myself and a large group of friends for my birthday. I'll start by saying that the food and drinks were great and did not disappoint, but there were a few issues during our visit. Although we had reservations and showed up slightly late (we called ahead to let them know), our table was not ready when we got there. We did not wait too long to sit down to be clear, but the waiting times were a bit rough for the rest of the visit. I understand that 15 or so cocktails take time to make, but it took almost an hour to receive our drinks and for chips to be put on the table. We finally put in our food order after about an hour of being there. The biggest issue though, was that we were sat on the patio, which is advertised as being heated (there are literally signs saying the patio is heated around the restaurant) and it was a cold April night about 40° or so. Pretty immediately, we were all cold and asked for the heater right next to us to be turned on. They refused claiming that they wouldn't turn the heater on because "it's summer." First of all, April is not summer. Second of all, when you have a table of almost 20 people wearing jackets and hats and literally shivering you should probably accommodate them knowing they are spending a lot of money here. Our group spent $700 there but turning on one heater was apparently too expensive for them to run.
Again, the food was great and the drinks were great and I overall had a great birthday dinner there with my friends. I appreciate the fact that they were able to seat such a large group, but we were literally freezing the...
