Found myself craving Chinese food recently. Normally I'd just go to Panda Express for that, but I don't have a car right now and I don't wanna pay $20 for delivery of a $10 meal on GrubHub/Doordash etc. So I gave this place a shot and got delivery, and they exceeded my expectations! First of all, my delivery arrived fast, hot and fresh, a crucial thing for Chinese food. No one likes Chinese food when it's gotten cold, hard, and gluey. Even half an hour after my food arrived, I could still see it steaming lightly!
So now the food itself. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef lunch specials, and a "small" vegetable lo mein. It seemed a bit expensive to me at first, but for the sheer quantity of food, including a side of rice AND an egg roll with each special, it actually makes for a pretty good deal. I even got a spring roll with my order which I didn't ask for, nice little bonus. The Kung Pao Chicken had just the right mix of heat and sweet, with lots of juicy chicken and veggies like peppers and onions along with peanuts and mushrooms. Thumbs up for the hot, fluffy side of steamed rice on the side, too. The lo mein tasted good, too. I found the tomatoes in it a bit odd, but I can't complain really. Haven't even tried the Mongolian Beef yet because the kung pao and lo mein have already filled me up and I didn't even finish either one!
On top of all that, they don't skimp on the portions here. I've got enough food to last me for several days now! Will definitely order...
Read moreI was getting Tired of ordering the same Chinese food from the same Chinese restaurant on my lunch break at work. One of my coworkers ordered from Silver Lake and said their food is good and well priced. So after seeing her food and seeing how good it looked and how it tasted I decided to order the next day and had it delivered to my door. Not only did they deliver it in less than 30 minutes which I did not expect it to arrive so soon but the vegetable fried rice was probably my favorite. I also ordered a small orange chicken and it was definitely a different flavor than other orange chickens at other Chinese restaurants. However I did like the fact that it came with vegetables in the orange chicken such as carrots and broccoli in the sauce was actually darker than your average orange chicken sauce. I did choose delivery so in that case you are paying a delivery fee however it was so convenient and I would definitely order from them again! Not to mention the delivery guy was the same one who delivered my coworkers food and he was very nice and courteous. And you can also pay with a debit card or cash when your food arrives you don’t have to give your debit card over the phone which I thought was also a big...
Read moreThe Manager BRIAN IS HONESTLY THE BIGGEST MISTAKE to this business.
I’ve been a repeated customer weekly since 1999.
A couple months ago RIGHT before their name change, I found a piece of the BRILLO PAD INSIDE MY EGGROLL AS IT HIT A SENSITIVE spot.
I had just spent $50 there- that was my FIRST BITE. Needless to say I lost my appetite for the rest of the food.
What does Brian offer?
ONE ORDER OF EGG ROOLS FREE IN THE BOOKS.
SERIOUSLY? Okay…..
Last week I ordered $65 worth of food. They said 1 hr and a half for delivery. Okay cool. Perfect.
Two and a half hours later our food arrives cold, smoothies totally nasty and separated. Call again- after repeated calls back and fourth I was told I’d get a free order in the books.
Call today to order that AND MORE AS I HAVE MULTIPLE KIDS OVER AND BRIAN TOLD ME TO GO ELSEWHERE BECAUSE HES ONLY HONORING THE EGG ROLL ISSUE.
Im so frequent the delivery driver and I have a friendship because of it- and this is how a MANAGER treats a customer during the “hard times of the pandemic” to tell customers to go elsewhere because of their mistake to me is beyond unacceptable and I am at a complete...
