I had a really disappointing experience at this location (the newly renovated location) that made me not want to come back -- and it wasn't even about how my drink was made, but the complete lack of customer service. I first came by yesterday, but they weren't accepting Apple Pay, cards, or mobile orders due to a worldwide outage, which I totally understood. So today, I called ahead to ask if things were back to normal. The girl on the phone said yes, so I placed a mobile order around 12 p.m. When I got to the store, I noticed my iced mocha was missing the whip cream (which I hadn't asked to remove). I went to the handoff area and said "excuse me," but no one acknowledged me. There was a girl on cold bar with her back turned, not even glancing to see who was there, and another on hot bar who was facing me but didn't bother to ask if I needed help. Everyone seemed too busy to notice me, even though it wasn't crowded at all -- just two cars in the drive-thru and I was the only one waiting inside. I ended up walking over to the cashier and asked if she could help me add whip. She told me, "I'm actually not clocked in, but they can help you," and pointed back to the baristas. In my head, I couldn't help but think, "Then why are you standing at the front?" I went back to the handoff area and stood there for over three minutes, still completely ignored. The girl who wasn't clocked in walked over to make her own drink (which I know the policy is you are not allowed to ring yourself and even to make your own drink) but never said a word to her coworkers about me needing help. So I called out to her again and asked if she could add whip, and she just told me, "You can talk to them." At that point, I was frustrated and asked who the lead was. She pointed to the girl on hot bar, who finally turned and asked, "How can I help you?" It turns out she had been the supervisor the whole time, and the one who made my drink, yet didn't step in to help until I specifically asked for the lead. They finally added whip to my drink, and I left. Afterwards, I called to ask for the general manager's name (Meghan ) and the lead's name (Ariel). Clearly, the management and team need more training in customer service. As a former Starbucks partner, I know you should always acknowledge anyone standing at the handoff, even when you're busy. If you want a quick drink, you might get it here since they aren't busy. But if they make a mistake, don't expect them to help you fix it. Personally, I'd rather go somewhere busier that actually treats...
Read moreThe place is running out of everything, no white sugar, low on straws where they were only giving out straws for Frapuccinos, a new Barista with a bad attitude, and to top it off the table I used to sit on has been taken over by a billboard they stuck on there for God knows what, and it's been like that for a month now 😒😒😒 If I go back to that Starbucks it won't be because it'll be my first choice 😑😑😑 12/29/2022 Brief update. The service seems to have improved. They did remove my regular table where I used to sit though, not too happy about that. 😒 At least they didn't run out of straws or regular sugar this time and they didn't give me a look when I specified preference on my order. I'm still only giving them 4 stars because the baristas need to stop rushing customers out of the restrooms after 5 minutes of use just to clean the restroom because they're in a hurry or on a tight schedule. Their duties does not involve me except when I need to order something from them. They can very well wait until I'm done using the restroom before rushing anyone off just to keep up with their scheduled duties. Unfortunately they always seem to be able to manage making me feel uncomfortable when I visit this place. I don't know if I'll ever want to come back to this dump again unless I want my day ruined because of their shoddy...
Read moreHOURS POSTED ARE INCORRECT. THEY CLOSE AT 9PM Their service was better before opening the drive-thru. Idk if they hired a whole new team, but I prefer the old team. They were more efficient. They close at 10pm but start cleaning around 8:45pm. I attempted to order 3 different items (around 9pm) and none were available- one of them being a simple iced coffee. I also witnessed customers attempting to enter the dining room around the same time and the chairs were already stacked on the tables, trash bags near the doors, and the crew cleaning. They couldn't enter because they had already closed the dining room at 9pm. I ended up leaving and took my business to the Starbucks on Atlantic Blvd. The Atlantic location always gives great service- even if you go in 10 minutes before they close. They have an amazing, efficient, and friendly team and they always have my food and drink items available, no matter what...
