I’m here for me this morning. Standing at Register. Again. Like so many other one-star reviews here.
Manager: How many complaints do you need to get about non-service register to INSIST upon your employees tending the register??? It’s just so BASIC. Up your rating a full point with just this!
Girl shuffles by me (waiting at the register) into the kitchen blind-cell-scroll-walkin’. Nobody keeping an eye on the register. Not particularly busy.
Standing.
Waiting.
I know they can see me.
I lean into the kitchen. It’s all studious “not-looking”. Finally one has to vocalize. “Hey! Is anyone going to help me here?”
No eye contact. None. It’s just so weird.
I’m going to keep hammering away on you, McDonalds. Learn juggling tasks and customer service. For the love of God. Guy delivering food was nice. That’s why two stars.
I don’t assume to know what country they are from. They speak Spanish, and they have a helluva LOT to say to each other, LOUDLY AND CONSTANTLY. They just don’t want to acknowledge the gringa at the register. Pointedly so.

If you’re getting hair in your food, you might see why from the pic. I thought it was health department rules in food service that you can’t wear your hair like this…
I had to pick up several times for Door Dash tonight. This McDonald’s is the only restaurant that is not ready when I get there and consistently have a wait of 5-10 minutes each pickup. It makes my other orders run really late and my on-time rate low. I can’t afford this. No delivery person can.
No one acknowledging me. No one at the register. Way too much laughing and playing going on. Like 10 people back there and everyone very intentionally ignoring you and avoiding eye contact. They aren’t even trying to be on time. One employee walked by and looked right in my eyes with that knowing look that’s almost an eye roll, “I know, right?” He wasn’t in the club. But it wasn’t his role to help me, unfortunately.
I watched the girl put one sticker on. Joke, joke laugh joke with the people behind her- no work happening while having fun… slowly, slooowly… another sticker on. Horsing around with people in front of her. Hands not on task. Finally, the third sticker with receipt. Bag dropped in front of me on a spinning heel. No eye contact. In a big hurry to get back to the fun.
Her manager next to her, all dressed up, young and sharp, not driving the team, but partaking in all the hijinks. Better to be popular and pretty than productive, it seems. He was not helpful or professional at all, save his Dandy ridiculously-out-of-place-for-fast-food clothing.
There is a balance between having fun and keeping those Hands Moving! You can do both at once- that is good management in any fast-paced business. Work doesn’t have to be a drag, but the WORK is the first priority.
I’m turning down these orders from now on. This location doesn’t recognize that delivery people are a very integral part of their business, and we are customers too. I can’t let my on time rating go so low that I’m out my livelihood.
Contrast their behavior with Subway, Jersey Mikes, Noodles and Company, Wendy’s, Fuji Sushi: saying hello, anticipating the delivery, answering questions, a manager handing the bag to me with eye contact and a smile.

Read moreThe service was horrendous at the Rosemount, Minnesota McDonald's. There was no one waiting at the counter to take orders from customers when I walked in. There was one woman barking orders to people as she scooped orders into paper bags and handed them to 2 people waiting for their orders. I had walked in and stood at the counter for approximately 5 minutes before I asked rather loudly if there was anyone waiting on customer's at the counter. The one who was barking orders turned around and said she would be with me in a second because she was rearranging the crew and went back to barking orders. She finally asked a woman who walked in from outside to wait on me. Unfortunately she was a new hire on her third day and was unfamiliar with the register to put my order in. I finally asked the woman barking orders if she would help this woman out. She did help. It is unforgivable to not have someone wait on the customer's who walk in while rearranging the workers. Someone could/should have covered the register. The neighborhood website has had numerous posts about the horrible service at ths restaurant. They need to retrain the management team at this site and I would think it is warranted to install kiosks so people could put orders in themselves and avoid the horrible service at this site. I would like to give them a minus 10 for the horrible service here. If you could avoid this site I would. I have to give 5 star kudos to the new woman who took my order. She offered me my choice of a hot coffee or hot chocolate for this experience. She at least cared about customer service in spite of the one...
Read moreWent through drive through last Sunday. I ordered a double cheese burger meal. Drove through to first window, they took my money. Went to second window and was first handed a 2 cheese burger meal. I said no, I ordered a double cheese burger meal. Manager with all sorts of piercings came to window, first asked if I ordered the 2 quarter pounder meal and I said "no, I ordered the double cheese burger and then she asked for receipt. Maybe she should had step up to the window and professionally asked; How can I help you? or What can I help you with? I gave receipt which actually said 2 cheese burger meal, I never look at the receipts. I was asked to pull forward and to wait at railing for correct order. When new staff came to my car he handed me a bag. In it was double cheese burger with fries but no drink. He went back in and came back out with drink and another bag that his manager told him was the correct bag. In the bag was just the double cheese burger. He took the first bag back. I then asked ok so what about the fries? Oh here, but the fries dumped all over bag and he gave me the carton with a very small amount in it. I was done at this point. I didn't even want the food. I said forget it and drove off. This place used to be a good place but lately I have had numerous...
