I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now. They seem to keep the same staff which is great. However my biggest complaint about them is that the end price never matches up to what is on the menu. You will get an un itemized ticket that you have to trust when paying I would advise you to look at the menu and correspond it with the amount of money they are asking at the very end. Even the ticket they give you does not explain how much money you owe them for the meal.I've been multiple times coming different times throughout each visit the wait staff seems to be rushed all the time no matter if they are busy or not I'm okay with them trying to hustle and make things happen. However sometimes I just wish they would sit and listen a little bit to what I'm trying to tell them. If I order a margarita plus a water plus some extra salsa, I might get the margarita in water in there before they start to walk away. This particular time I ordered three top-shelf Margaritas that are supposed to be $7 each. I had also ordered a chimichanga with the fajita. the chimichanga is supposed to be 10, the Margaritas are supposed to be seven each. That comes up to a total of $31. I was charged $33 and some change. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I have been overcharged multiple times in every time I called him out on it. Does not seem to change anything here. The last time I was here I saw a roach on the wall. You can just tell they're trying to be too fast and not pay attention to detail at the restaurant. It is inconsistent and that is unfortunate. I don't recommend this place because of this. If you are an out-of-towner. You're better off going to gringos. You will have a much better experience. I might still consider coming here because it is so close by inconvenient. However I just want to warn you in advance. If things change I will update. I doubt they will though because I've been coming here for 10 years plus and I have not seen any thing different...
Read moreI've been here several times and do understand that the service is slow and have attitudes at times, but the food is decent for their price. So we come back. But this time was ridiculous. My mom in law ordered a bacon and eggs plate which has bacon and eggs, potatoes, and beans. When they brought out the plate it was so much egg with hardly no bacon in it and No potatoes. The waitress said they ran our and that was that. My she went and got another waitress who just rolling her eyes and snapped back art My mom inlaw and said "there are no potatoes. What else do you want?" With an attitude. So we asked for the owner and he then said yes we have potatoes it's just going to take a minute or we can order something else. She did t order anything else because it took them over 45 minutes just to bring that plate out. I had ordered a chorizo egg and cheese taco. The waitress asked me 3 times what kind of taco. Again it took them 45 min to bring the food out and my taco was only chorizo and cheese. I asked her what is this, I dint order just chorizo! Who does that? She quickly snapped back and said that is hownyou ordered it. I told her she asked me 3 times over. She then looked at her pad and said okay what do you want me to do? At that point I juat told her I no longer wanted either. I kept seeing her and the other waitresses keep taking plates back from other customers there too. So I am not sure if it was the waitresses or the cooks messing up the orders but it was worst Dining experience I have ever had there. Oh and my husband's plate didn't have the potatoes that the menu stated it had. 😒 Nedless to say, I will not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Buena Vista Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, and overall, it was a delightful experience. What immediately stood out was the incredible value for money; the portions were generous, and the pricing was definitely a winning factor. It's clear that they offer a lot of food for the cost, making it a very appealing spot.
The food itself had some real highlights. The cheese, in particular, was absolutely perfect on my dish, and the fajita tacos and plates are truly excellent – definitely a must-try! I also found their chips, queso dip, and a special green sauce to be top-notch. While there might be occasional inconsistencies, like my rice being a bit mushy, the overall quality and the sheer quantity of food certainly won me over.
Service was generally attentive, even though they can get quite busy, especially on a weekend. I appreciated that when I asked, the waitress brought out a different salsa that the cooks make for themselves, which was genuinely delicious and a great recommendation. The atmosphere is casual, and I hear it gets quite lively in the evenings. Parking can be a little tricky, but it's free. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their...
