Not good. Peanut oil chicken. I asked if they bread it themselves I couldn't even see before she charged me. They sell frozen meat and chicken they use Costco or Sams club food. The chicken was soaked in peanut oil from the deep fryer and the marinara sauce is blander then Heinz puree. Actually it is puree. I wouldn't recommend this place as "Authentic Italian Food ". They're some fast talking lebanese people that make you think you're getting a great product when in actuality it's garbage. Im sick from the overly drenched peanut oil Chicken Tenders made to look like a chicken Parm. The atmosphere is clean the decorations are nice but I guess I just don't like being lied to. I can boost this places profits by 10,000 a month but the papa Joe is only selling a gimmick while hiding behind a computer screens looking for a lawsuit. Or a sucker to buy his dream. Sorry Rola you should have been honest. One day you'll need me by then sorry. Your loss. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 You can't lie to people that have a strong spirit of discernment. I see thru the evil grins. Joe Leone's in Jersey Blows this place out of the water as far as taste goes. It's not good food at all. She tells me she makes the dough for the pizza everyday without measurements. Memory is something and I've made a million Pizzas in my time. I wouldn't serve this food to my dog. It's bland and has no authentic Italian roots. Sorry I'm not sorry. People need to know the truth that they're being bamboozled. The price was reasonable for the size of the sandwich. But it wasn't what I was expecting from the explanation by the hostess. rola. I probably won't be back. Keep up the great work . Btw. The location is not good. You're in the middle of nowhere and I bet your rent is really high. Unless you probably live upstairs. Joe. Good luck the three stars for atmosphere is because of the military flags. The one star for service is because of the lies being told by the owners. The one star for food is because the chicken parmigiana was not chicken " authentic " parmigiana. It was Frozen Chicken tenders soaked in deep fried peanut oil. With bland marinara. The only part of this sandwich that was good was the toasted...
Read moreIf you're looking for a great NY-style deli with some great people, this is it.
I went to Joey's in the old location that they had to shut down because of COVID. But the food was really good and the prices were right.
I was very disappointed when they closed. But they're open in a new location and ready to go.
They've always had great sandwiches of all sorts. Yes, you can get a burger here, but that seems like a waste. I haven't had the burger, but you can get those anywhere.
They also have breakfast, which I haven't tried. But a egg sandwich on a bagel sounds like it's be good.
This is obviously a family run operation and they take good care of you. Large portions and all (as far as I can tell) made from scratch. They're obviously focused on the food because it's nothing fancy inside, but as long as you're expecting a neighborhood place, you'll be fine.
The only two downsides I remembered from before are still there now. The first is they like it warmer in the restaurant than most people I know. And the second is that they don't have a fountain drink setup, so every drink is another can / bottle and another charge.
Regardless, you've got to try this place out. They really car about the food...
Read moreI’ve been here before when they had a location over by the location of the old Rosenberg Blockbuster, and everything was perfect there.
I’m happy to say that they are NOT a one hit wonder! Last time I got a traditional Reuben sandwich which was arguably one of the best I’ve ever had. This time, my partner and I ended up getting a hot Italian and a chopped cheese combo and they were amazing! The Italian deli meats were fresh and high quality, you could tell what was in there with just one big bite (which you’ll need to take a big bite or two cause these things are PACKED); the chopped cheese was seasoned and VERY flavorful, it was beefy and filled with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, it honestly was such a comfort food I couldn’t stop eating! Not only that, it was on the perfect loaf of bread, crusty on the outside but nice and fluffy (but not too chewy) on the inside!
Pair that all with excellent service, clean dining and restroom areas, this is def one of my fav hole in the walls (said VERY LOVINGLY) in this town.
I don’t live near here anymore but we are already planning on making our way back once again when we get a chance. Thank you for the great...
