I LOVE this place! I'm so glad I ended up trying them because I'll admit I was a little put off by their modern and "hip" name, but don't let the youthful outward appearance throw you; their food is top notch and brilliant. Their beef broth is wonderfully balanced in flavor, richness, and viscosity. The portions are ALWAYS excellent, and the ingredients are always fresh (the garnishes served with pho are fresh veggies and herbs. Also if you order pho tai like I do with the meat on the side, there is no denying the perfect rich red color of the beef.) I can't say enough about how much I love the pho tai at this restaurant, they slice the meat SO thinly it's unbelievable. A bonus treat is the tofu spring rolls. The tofu cut small enough that when fried theres a nice crisp outside with just enough springy soft tofu goodness inside. Another appetizer, the Tastea Fries have become a favorite of my VERY picky daughter, they have a good spicy kick to them but not overly so, and she'll eat almost a whole order to herself. A little back story about my history with pho; I have been eating pho since I was a little girl back in SoCal. There was actually a really awesome pho restaurant right next to my high school that was owned by a married couple who were Vietnamese immigrants who moved to the USA to raise their children. They were the sweetest people, and their pho was absolutely perfect in every aspect, their broth recipe one passed down through the family for ages. When I moved to Rosenberg, I was thrilled to find a large assortment of authentic Asian cuisine because in San Antonio, it was hard to find. I went to MANY different pho restaurants looking for something as close as possible to what I had growing up. Tastea honestly is the closest I've found in over 10 years of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: 2022 and still can't get enough of this place and the incredible food!
Update edit 8/22 Restaurant changed hands and you can tell in the quality. I haven't been here in a long time because it stopped being so good. I came back today to have some pho and egg rolls and the best thing I can say about this place is that the newest hire, Katie, is amazing. She is so incredibly nice and I hope they hold onto her. Pho broth had little flavor... i usually finish an entire bowl and had to push through it. :( The egg rolls were so bland and the lettuce tasted dirty. I am so sad that this place isn't good, anymore. This restaurant used to be my go-to and I'm sad to say this will be my last time trying it out and hoping it's good, again.
But they do have fried rice on the menu, now. Hopefully that doesn't disappoint š I hope people like it, I don't want to see this place disappear but man it is NOT WHAT IT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām leaving my original post at the bottom of the updated review. We drove to Tastea from Sugar land and when we came back home with the food were disappointed to see that they gave us the incorrect order. I called and spoke to whoever answered, they did acknowledge that the incorrect order was given to us and stated that the only way they would correct this was by us driving back and bringing them the food that we had been given. By then my wife had already cooked the meat that we had been given for the vermicelli bowl cause yes they gave us raw meat. The food tasted old the meat had a strange odor and it went straight to the trash cause my wife couldnāt save it. Everyone has off days but giving out the wrong food and the food tasting nasty is unacceptable. Not cool Tastea. Itās not about the money as Iām not asking for a refund but a simple hey we will give you spring rolls on your next visit would have been a decent offer or a simple sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the service and I hope yāall can get it together for your patrons.
Last week we went 4 days in a row to this place. We went there again today. This place is awesome!!! The vermicelli bowls, the tastea fries are delicious. The smoothies are delicious!!! Try the mango and strawberries, also the passion fruit grean tea, its amazing. We are planning to go here for...
