V-Star Donut — Restaurant in Rosenberg

I’ve been on a detox, but honestly, I eat clean about 98% of the time anyway. Today, though, I was craving a cheat snack... 🤫😅 So when I was asked what I wanted, I said a sprinkle donut. It’s my weakness! Lol. Side note: I still haven’t found a donut place here that tops my spot back in the Chicago area.

Fast forward, and I’m sitting in bed like a kid on Christmas, waiting for that donut. About 20 minutes later, a medium box shows up, and I’m like, "I only wanted one donut, but okay!" They look amazing, so I take the first bite... and my heart skips a beat. The texture, the taste—wow. I couldn’t even describe it. I asked, "Where did you get these from?" I was told V- Star Donuts.

Now, here I am, contemplating throwing out all my clean-eating discipline and embracing big back season... 😂 But, gotta stay strong and stick...

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. We had the glazed blueberry cake, chocolate glaze and a box of mixed donuts along with small cheese pigs. The spot was clean. And comfortable. Service was friendly and helpful. A bag of donut holes were given as a complimentary surprise. The texture of the blueberry donuts were moist, and tasted like blueberries. The chocolate glaze was, honestly the best I have had. Not to thick, not to thin, fudgy and delish! The dough on that and the holes were fluffy, light and not to sweet, on point balance with the glaze. Perfect bites. The cheese pigs, kolaches, were good. It was commented that the bread to meat ratio wasn’t balanced, too much dough to meat. The mixed donuts were a gift to our chemo nurses and they were happy to see pretty sprinkles. Will be going...

Been going for a while and love their croissant and donuts! Kholaches are good too. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I’m not sure who they’ve hired over the past couple months to work sundays, but every time we go now, the two younger females look miserable (not smiling, no thank you etc), and the last Sunday we went and the girl was in a “crop top” with her entire midriff showing belly button piercing and all. I’m all about freedom to where what you want, but when you’re working at a place of business and it being a food related business, not my favorite thing to see. Idk if the owners know or approve but just want to say something in case they loose any business over something...
