We were heading home and going through Rosenberg near dinner time. Checked local places and read reviews. The porch was welcoming. Friday night. There was a line. Not a big order area. The line went around a large table, seating maybe eight. Only one cash register. Had time to chat with regulars in line. One couple was taking food home to their children after a quick meal in the decent-sized dining room off to the side. Highly recommended the brisket. One woman said the sides were good, especially the mac 'n cheese. I wasn't so hungry and wondered aloud if I could order the kids plate. The woman said it's fine as she's done that too. She said they used to have a three meat plate that was pretty good, but no longer. Hubby ordered the two meat plate and I had the kids plate that came with a drink. We shared and it was just enough for us, but next time I'll get a regular meat side and a veggie side. I don't need a drink and it comes out less. The kids plate had a regular side serving size, but the ribs were kid sized, on the small side. The smoke ring is nice, but hubby should have asked to exchange his burnt end for another pretty slice. Some people love burnt edges, but not him. I do enjoy warmed bbq sauce and the cobbler was alright. Soda drinkers will like free refills of old favorites like Orange Crush and Big Red. The tea and condiments station is neatly laid out next to a rack full of containers for easy takeout and extras like toothpicks, mints and wipes. I like how they brand their tea containers and add the name around the place. Someone needs to tell them letters are missing from their name on the flag sign above the porch swing. Yes, we will be back.

Stopped here for some Texas BBQ on our way back home. We are a bit critical of our Atlanta, Georgia, options; well this place was just awesome! The parking is country BBQ shack, but inside is one of the better-organized operations I’ve seen, for dine-in and to-go. Everyone was friendly from the staff to the regular diners. We opted for pulled pork plates with various sides. If you are used to pulled pork that needs sauce added, be prepares.. this is perfectly bathed in the right amount already. We also got a sampler of the brisket and sausage. One of the regulars had a few ribs _and_ a baked potato topped with pulled pork. I don’t know if I’d risk BBQ elsewhere in the Houston area because this was just too good! We can give thumbs ups to the buttered red potatoes and the potato salad. The cole slaw is a dryer variety but still good. And then we had the peach cobbler. Pre-made in take-away containers, still slightly warm. OMG. We are almost back home and wishing we had brought a pan with. And we didn’t even try the pudding. I’m not saying anything a local doesn’t know.. but if you are driving through on I-69, this is where you need to stop. Nice landmark with the big Epicenter building.. some well-priced gas stations, and whatever meal you need an excuse to have, and dessert to go so you don’t need to skimp on the meal! We’ll be back!

Well I tell ya what, if you ever find yerself out in Rosenberg, Texas, and you don’t stop by this here BBQ joint, you might as well just sell yer truck and start eatin’ tofu. This is the best dang BBQ I done had since Uncle Jeb tried to smoke a brisket on a lawnmower back in ‘07. Soon as I pulled up, I seen cows grazin’, horses neighin’, and the smell of smoked meat hittin’ me like grandma’s cast iron skillet. You don’t just eat here — you experience it. Brisket so tender it dang near apologized before I ate it. Ribs slid off the bone like a greased pig at the county fair. I ain’t lyin’. And don’t get me started on the sauce. Sweet, smoky, probably made with the tears of angels and the sweat of a Texas ranch hand. Folks were sittin’ ‘round on picnic tables talkin’ about tractors and fishing like it was Sunday at the feed store. Long story short: If you like BBQ, and you like Texas, and you like cows, horses, and meat that makes you wanna call your ex just to brag — you better get on over here. I’m comin’ back next week with my cousins and maybe a goat or two. 5 outta 5 boots. Yeehaw.

My recent dining experience at Witt Pit BBQ left me absolutely astounded and delighted. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, the tantalizing aroma of smoky goodness filled the air, setting the stage for what turned out to be an extraordinary culinary adventure.

Let me start with the star of the show: the meat. Oh, the meat! It was nothing short of amazing. Each mouthwatering bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the pitmasters at Witt Pit BBQ. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, boasting a perfectly caramelized crust that added a delightful crunch to each bite. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, with a delectable smoky flavor that danced on my taste buds. And the pulled pork was a revelation—juicy, succulent, and bursting with rich flavors that kept me coming back for more.

As if the meats weren't enough to win me over, the sides at Witt Pit BBQ took the entire experience to a whole new level of excellence. The variety and quality of their sides are nothing short of fantastic. The coleslaw was a refreshing and tangy complement to the hearty meats, providing a delightful contrast to the smoky flavors. The mac and cheese, oh my, was absolute heaven in a bowl, with its creamy, cheesy goodness leaving me utterly satisfied. And the cornbread, baked to perfection with just the right touch of sweetness, was the ideal accompaniment to the flavorful meats.

The ambiance of the restaurant only added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Rustic and welcoming, Witt Pit BBQ exudes a down-to-earth charm that makes you feel right at home. The friendly and attentive staff further enhanced the dining experience, making sure every detail was taken care of, and ensuring I had everything I needed to savor each moment.

If you're a barbecue enthusiast, Witt Pit BBQ is an absolute must-visit. Their dedication to using the finest ingredients and expertly crafting their meats to perfection is evident in every single bite. I left with a smile on my face and a belly full of exceptional food, already planning my next visit.

In conclusion, Witt Pit BBQ is a true gem, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whether you're a seasoned barbecue connoisseur or just someone looking for an exceptional dining experience, Witt Pit BBQ will undoubtedly leave you with an unforgettable and finger-licking good memory. A genuine culinary delight awaits you at Witt Pit...

REMOVE SHANA WITT ASAP! Please remove & fire Shana Witt ASAP!!! She’s horrible for business! I’ve supported since it opened & all these years of great service; until today The OWNER was rude & I experienced horrible hatred inflicted service from owner Shana Witt!!! I purchased bbq yesterday & today. I typically go 3-4 times a week. I asked for 4 large BBQ sauce & was asked how much meat did I buy. I said 15lbs. She walked away to go confirm with staff & refused to give me 4 containers & only gave me 2. I said ok no problem & ma’am you’re tripping. I proceeded to the self serve of bbq sauce to make my own little containers that I needed for family lunch we were having. After I made 6 little containers she came & stood in front of the area to stare me down. She stated saying I could not have any more sauce & I told her please don’t speak to me so we have no problems. I’m making one more & leaving. She treated me poorly & snatched the basket off the counter so I couldn’t make another bbq sauce. There is no reason I should be harassed in this manner because of BBQ sauce!! I told her about her poor customer service & rudeness to customers. Mr Witt she’s bad for business. All customers should be treated fairly no matter what. If there is a charge for extra sauce I would’ve paid the price. However I was never given that option. Shana Witt is the worst person I’ve ever encountered in all my life. The evil in her eyes frighten me to my core. I absolutely love Witt Pitt but this experience has tarnished me horribly. Customers spend their hard earned money & should be treated nicely no mater what! I’m sure the 2 containers of bbq sauce I needed is thrown in the trash daily. I’m heartbroken, hurt & sad I was treated this way at my favorite bbq place in town. A special shout-out & thanks to the front staff who is always kind & nice to me. A special shoutout to the new employee who accidentally gave me the wrong bag & 2 extra sauces were inside! I called back to inform the staff & they told me to keep it. Shana Witt needs to learn how to treat the customers. She’s...
