Terrible experience.
Bought some Ariats yesterday. Wore them to Church today. Decided that one foot was just a little too big, and called to see if I could exchange. Explained to woman on the phone, Julie, Jewel, June, whatever her name was, that these boots had been very lightly worn for a few hours( I really just sat while wearing them), and that the tags were off, but I had all tags and the receipt. She'd said the exchange would be fine.
I get there and explained to some older brunette woman my business, and upon looking at my boots she exclaimed ," Oh my God, these have been WORN", very loudly. I, startled, explained that I just sat in them, how could they be THAT worn. She pointed to the sole of the shoe and said there was dust all over them. "Really? DUST on the bottom of a shoe? You could get that from just trying them on in store"
She says, "FINE", slams a bottle of windex and a roll of paper towels, sprays the bottle into the towel, and says , " you want an exchange, YOU clean them."
I was thinking to myself, "just keep your cool, your getting an exchange, don't go off on this woman".
Anyway, as I actually found myself. a paying customer humiliated, embarrassed, ACTUALLY cleaning the boots, She came back and tried to "rephrase it by saying "just give it a little rub down", but that was just insult to injury. I stopped myself, got a complete refund from a cashier, and walked out.
Instead of pulling the race card, because I'm not white, like the majority of their clientele, I'll just say that this woman gave poor customer service, lacked professionalism, and now took a loss. I was going to buy boots for my 2 brothers for Christmas, but now Boot Barn will never get...
Read moreWonderful service by most of the personnel except one particular employee played mission impossible ensuring I was not stealing because I had an infant with a stroller. The stroller had a open bottom with no shelf and not able to to hide anything it would not have been a issue if I hadn’t been bothered x8 times to her coming and retrieving any items I had in my hand. I was not left alone for more than three minutes by the same person. let me just say maybe this store isn’t geared towards family’s. The employee by the name Kylie made us sure to make us uncomfortable and did not make us feel welcomed. Also after we checked out she ensured the physically come within one foot of my stroller with my infant buckled in to visually inspect it. I will never visit this location ever again. I will only spend my money at the Katy location from now on. I’ve attached the stroller in question for arguments sake. I’ve never been made to feel like such a criminal in my entire life. Absolutely disgusted by...
Read moreI had a pair of Ariat boots I bought online that I had to wear to a wedding the day after they arrived, which happened to be on a Sunday. And I couldn't get the left one on! No time to reorder, no way I would find in a store since they were a special order I would later use for work. I guess Daniel saw my desperation and took my boot back to put on the stretcher right away. I heard him tell the salesperson that he had about 6 pairs ahead of me, and that he couldn't get to it that day (Saturday), but asked when I needed it. He saved my procrastinating butt! I returned about an hour and a half later and he had me put it on before I left and told me how to stretch it further at home. I am forever grateful as I would've had to spend a lot more money (that I can't spare) on another pair. I don't have much opinion about the rest of the store and staff, but Daniel...
