I recently dined at BF Miyabi in Roseville, and I must say that my experience fell short of expectations. While there were a few positives, several notable issues left a sour taste in my mouth.
To start on a positive note, BF Miyabi's Happy Hour Specials initially seemed like a great deal. The menu boasted enticing discounted items, making it an appealing option for those seeking a wallet-friendly meal. However, our excitement quickly turned into frustration when we realized we had been charged the wrong prices for some items. We specifically pointed out to our waitress that we were charged the full price of the OMG Roll instead of the Happy Hour price. Additionally, we showed them the menu where the Crispy Calamari was listed at $8 on the Happy Hour Menu, but we were charged $8.50. To our disappointment, the waitress refused to honor the price stated on the menu, insisting that the computer showed a different price of $8.50. This inconsistency left us feeling deceived and undervalued as customers.
Moreover, the slow service at BF Miyabi added another layer of frustration to our visit. The staff didn't appear too busy, but it took a long time before everyone in our party received their order.
Furthermore, we were surprised by an additional $5 credit card charge. There is a small little sticker added on the credit card holder about a card fee charge may apply, but no other specific information. While we understand that businesses may impose such charges to cover processing fees, it would have been appreciated if this information had been clearly communicated prior to payment or the transaction fee prominently displayed.
Despite these disappointments, BF Miyabi did have a few redeeming qualities. The Happy Hour Specials, if accurately priced and honored, could provide a good value. Additionally, the restaurant's ambiance was pleasant, featuring comfortable seating arrangements and a relaxed atmosphere.
My experience at BF Miyabi was marred by several significant issues. The incorrect pricing for Happy Hour items, the refusal to honor the advertised prices on the menu, the slow service, and the unexpected credit card charge all contributed to a less-than-pleasant dining experience. While there are some positive aspects to consider, it is important to be aware of these drawbacks before deciding to dine at this...
Read moreI rarely do reviews but we went here last year and I can say that this restaurant is really amazing, friendly staff, busy resto but still manage to make our food delicious but our server that time was really annoying, our food came a little late but it was okay to us since it was really busy that time but what annoyed me and my husband is that she forgot to bring our drinks, we were waiting for like 20mins just for the drinks while there she was busy talking with the other table and she was even drinking with them without checking us and as far as I noticed that table wasn’t her table.
Me and my husband really wanted to go home that time but thanks to the other server, I won’t forget her name, its Irish with She was so busy running back and forth, taking care of her tables including us which is not her table anyways but still, she checked on us then she was the one who brings our beer. I feel sorry to her because it seems like she’s doing her job well but the others don’t even care. But overall, it was still a good experience but if ever we come next time, maybe I prefer Irish to be our server! She really works hard. And to our server, I did ask for her name but I hope you will do your job, you are here to work and yes you entertain customers but don’t forget your other tables, such a disappointment, you are not here to just hang out and have some drink with your other tables, its annoying and...
Read moreI have been to BF Miyabi several times now and it is truly remarkable. The sushi is very very very fresh and light, in the sense that it isn't dowsed in sauce to overcompensate for mediocre or lackluster fish. It is all melt-in-your mouth sushi and I am excited to continue to be a loyal customer. I am so happy I discovered this spot and really hope the top-notch quality doesn't waver with time. So far, I have tried the Double Salmon, Godzilla, Double Toro, Lion King, and Sunset rolls as well as the Hamachi Carpaccio and Nigiri Mix, along with a few appetizers such as the Wakame (seaweed salad). My favorite roll is the Double Toro because it is very healthy and fish-focused and the salmon belly playing the main part in the role is exceptional. For a more rich, but otherwise ridiculously delicious option, the Lion King is a no-brainer. I cannot complain about anything I have tried and am looking forward to trying more and more of the menu options. Please do visit BF Miyabi and keep this wonderful business thriving and getting the praise it deserves. Oh and might I add that this is literally the best sushi I have...
